A great product. I find these very useful as I often need to remove my chain for cleaning and waxing. I keep a spare in my saddle bag on both my road and mtb, I never want to be stranded with a snapped chain.It's worth noting that you will need to remove the excess wax on the ends of the chain before using the joining link to ensure it locks correctly.

These are reusable, and last the life of my chains, during which time the chain is removed 20 odd times (every 200 miles for rewaxing). They still seem just as good after this many uses, whereas the non reusable ones (shimano etc) get about 4 uses before they wont close properly.

The price was good for KMC brand and I like that they are reusable, unlike the "use once" Shimano version. Make sure you pick the right one for the drivetrain you have.

With frequent cleaning of my chains I preferred to remove chain for a thorough degreasing/cleaning. A kmc missing link makes life a little easier.

Simple and effective, makes removing the chain a breeze.

My Shimano 11sp chain came with its own quick link and their instructions said “single use only “ . I tried this link instead but it was actually far looser than the original Shimano link. I chose to use the Shimano one instead and just keep this for emergency. A number of my cycling buddies tell me they reuse the Shimano link (on the same chain) when they remove it for cleaning with no issues.

The links do not lock in place. Can assemble and disassemble with fingers and no resistance. Is this a fake or effective product?

I'm starting to wax my chains, and shimano quick links are technically not reusable, which adds a lot of cost to waxing. these installed just fine, and I like that I can get 5 uses out of them
