It provides you something to help in almost any situation. The shovel & tir-down straps are sturdy (better than I was expecting). The first aid kit, battery-less \ wind-up flashlight was sturdy and bright. The jumper cables surprised me more than anything. They are on par with any good jumper cables at an automotive parts store. Could you survive in the desert ot the Tundra for weeks with this kit? - Of course not. But to get you out of about any minor jam or temporary breakdown, this kit will serve your needs well for that
