HIC Harold Import Co, Fine White Porcelain, Coeur A La Creme Dish, Heart Shaped Mold, 4-Ounce

I had one of these many years ago, gifted by a relative, and somehow in one of my many moves over the years, it got lost.So, I had been using cheesecloth hanging over my sink (How messy was that?) and then molding it in a regular Pyrex bowl to make my yogurt cheeses and it was OK.I am now a vegan, making my own cashew/almond cream cheese spreads and wanted to jazz up the presentation: Remembered the heart-shaped mold of old, and found this on Amazon.Even when I don't have time to make my own, lining the mold with plastic wrap, piling some vegan (or not) cream cheese into the lined mold, chilling for several hours, un-molding onto a fabulous plate and covering the heart with a pesto and adding some crackers has been my quick and easy go-to for casual appetizer.Fabulous.

It worked exactly how I thought it would. I wish the company made it a little bigger. My recipe makes too much for the dish but I managed ok.Service was typical Amazon - great

Very sturdy.. note the size.. it's not huge..I'd say it's a good size for 4-6 people...or two very greedy people. One thing I want to add is that I'm a bit disappointed to see that the price has been doubled.. why? Let me guess.. Valentine's Day is next month - that's not cool. I bought this here at Amazon for $8.99 but it was in August. I bet if you wait until after Feb 14th the price will go back down.

I purchased these to make the well-known Coeur a la Creme recipe which is on the Food Network website and in Ina Garten's cookbook "Barefoot in Paris" (available on Amazon). I made half the recipe and filled 4 of these 4" hearts to the brim (lined with cheesecloth) and put the remainder into a bowl. After several hours of refrigeration, the creme in the heart dishes hadn't oozed out of the holes, and except for being molded into a heart shape, it tasted and had a texture just the same as the portion I spooned out of the bowl. The half-recipe would easily fill 6 of these dishes for a reasonable serving size of this very rich dessert, however these dishes are not necessary for success. Even the heart shape gets lost under the berry topping. The recipe, however, is not to be missed! Unbelievably Yummy!

This mold is definitely bigger than what I thought and I am even happier to have bought it! I want to use it to make a cheese called Neufchatel (a tasty and easy/basic French recipe ). This cute porcelain heart is sturdy and I am sure you can use it in many recipes or just to strain strawberries or cranberries, etc.A great purchase I recommend.

Love this little heart dish gem. Got one for myself, and now I give them as gifts along a Coeur A La Creme recipe by Ian Garten. I also purchase cheesecloth to accompany this dish. Nice present to receive around Christmas, just in time for Valentine's Day! Make your sweetheart dessert in the shape of a heart and show your love today!

The product size was incorrect, and the product was not designed as advertised. There were no holes in the bottom of the mould as shown. This was just a disaster!
