This spoon is amazing! No more expensive pouches (well, until they are older) because babyfood Jars are SO easy to put in the spoon. It fits about 4 ounces, so we always make mixes. The spoon is exceptionally easy to clean, just disassemble, give it a rinse to get the chunks off, and toss it in the dishwasher. The spoon is a perfect size for infants. Our youngest is 10 months and it has worked great since we introduced solids at 4/5 months. We have a couple of these to make it through the day and for when we travel. The cap is good, but not great. If you have especially runny foods (beans or peas, for example), the juices might run out if you put it spoon down without double checking that the cap was secured. Our work-around: we store it spoon side up in the refrigerator. Love the boon brand, really love this item!

I love this spoon/feeder. We have used one through two children now and have given it as a gift around 4 times to high praise from our friends as well. I took off a star because the feeder hole on the spoon is just a little too small so food will get frequently jammed in the spout. As an example Motts Applesauce (trying to find something that we are all familiar with) pretty smooth consistency right? No big chunks? Well that gets jammed up in the feeder spout. Easy enough to clear it by tapping it on the table or applying a bit more pressure to the bloon portion of the spoon. Sometimes this results in a spurt though and can be a little messy. Not amazingly portable, there is a little cap that can click over the spoon portion but I always felt this would drip a bit if it was a more watery homemade food. Non-issue if you are sticking it upright in a bottle holder in the diaper bag. Overall great product. Easy to clean which I think is a MAJOR challenge for some of the bag/squeezer type of fill-your-own feeders out there

When the Boon Spoon first came in the mail I thought "It's huge!" and wasn't what I was expecting for travel. However - it is AWESOME for using in a restaurant or on the go. We loaded an entire gerber baby food container into it and it slowly squeezes out. I saw a review where the person said the food got all over the place - I don't know how hard she was squeezing but you gently press it and the food comes out. Our baby ate like a champ and this was really convenient. We recapped what she didn't finish for later. We particularly liked that we didn't have to worry about her grabbing at the food container, putting her hands in it or it tipping over constantly. We will be ordering another! UPDATE: If you use the pouch foods with a screw-off top (i.e. Plum Organics, Revolution Foods, HappyBaby, Ella) - also check out Plum Organics Boon Spoon, 2-Count Packages (Pack of 4) - much simpler clean-up, comes with two spoons and a case, and you can save what isn't eaten for 24-48 hours.

If only there was a way to change the diameter of the hole that feeds the spoon... Great concept, and is nice for finely pureed and "liquidy" foods. But little pieces can easily get stuck in the hole preventing you from squeezing more food into the spoon. Even something like applesauce or cream of wheat can be a challenge unless you water it down to more of a liquid. Because of that, the spoon is only really good for little babies who are in their first 3-4 months of solid foods. Also, I wish they would have put two little nubs on the bottom of the hard plastic base where it meets the silicone to keep it from rolling when you put it down. Looking back, I wouldn't purchase it again.

First of all this is not our first boon product and wont be our last. Boon makes babying EASY!! This soon is great because you can add the amount of food baby needs, our baby doesn't eat the whole jar yet therefore double dipping with a regular baby spoon is a no no because of bacteria. Reason number 2 that I love this spoon is that I dont get baby food all over MY hands. The spoon itself seems easy for baby to eat off of. Easy to wash, I put the tube part on the top rack of the dish washer and the spoon part in our boon dishwasher basket. Also this product comes with a cover for the spoon with is great for the diaper bag. I think Ill order another so that when ones dirty I have a back up!!

This spoon is absolutley wonderful. If you are traveling in a car, train, plane, this is a must have. You just put the baby food in the bottom portion and squeeze it out. No need for balancing baby food containers and spoons, etc. Every new mom should register for this! I get compliments on mine all of the time. In response to one of the reviews that was posted about not being able to squeeze the food through- that has never happened to me. The only thing I thought was slightly hard to squeeze through was thick yogurt, but even that wasn't a problem. Use it for baby food and for babies ranging from 6-12 mos. Pros: great for travel, easy to use, and chic Con: Can't hold as much food as I would like (holds about 1 large container of baby food)

Meine Maus verweigert zwar alle Gemüsebreie aber sie liebt Obstbrei und mit diesem Löffel kann ich ihr den selbstgemachten Obstbrei super füttern klare Kaufempfehlung. innen ist ein Plastikteil lose gewesen habe überlegen müssen was es ist hat sich als ein Löffeldeckel herausgestellt damit es nicht ausläuft man könnte den Brei also auch damit mitnehmen.

Bin begeistert. Habe jetzt die ersten Breie, Karotte oder Kürbis, mit dem Löffel verfüttert und es klappt super. Ich habe jeweils ein halbes Gläschen eingefüllt, es direkt im Löffel im Babykostwärmer aufgewärmt und an den Zwerg verfüttert. Es läuft nicht wahllos durch die Öffnung raus, sondern man drückt vorsichtig nach und nach das Silikonteil ein um wieder den Löffel voll zu bekommen. So kann sich das Kind zeit lassen beim essen und man schiebt nicht nur nach und nach und hofft, dass nichts vom Löffel rutscht. Ich hab jetzt die Hand weitgehend frei und muss nicht extra mit der anderen Hand den Teller halten, so kann ich meinen kleinen besser davon abhalten, ständig in den Löffel greifen zu wollen und rumzumatschen oder kann mal schnell das Tuch nehmen ohne erstmal den Teller wieder irgendwo lassen zu müssen. Wie gesagt, bin sehr begeistert. Ist sein Geld wert. Und es lässt sich wunderbar säubern, nimmt nicht die Farbe der Karotte an. Hab es bisher heiß ausgespült und mit Spüli und einer ganz normalen Flaschenbüste gesäubert.

Ideally it would be to have an individual lid to secure the purée inside the container, like a second lid. Also, the spoon lid is not well fixed, and if you want to carry the container, secure the spoon lid first. if you want to use it only at home it's fine.
