Very impressed with these carving tools. Very sturdy. Basically, the same blades as the Flexcut palm tools but without the handle. Simply insert the blade into the handle and go. No blade wobble in the handle. These are very sharp. The tool roll is nice and compact. Instructions are great. Project is fun. Can't go wrong with this set.

5 stars only because it is the Flexcut brand. Flexcut blades come sharp and stay sharp with proper honing. They are durable and last a very long time. The cost is great.1 star for the WRONG description and details. It says,"5 piece set contains 4 blades-handle-manual-blank-tool roll and strop" This has 3 blades, No Tool Roll, No Strop. Deceptive description. You sit on a throne of Lies!

Item shipped fast. Price was excellent. I own a few Flexcut products including the Flexcut Carving Jack. Just recieved this SK110 palm tool set to add to my wood carving arsenal. Flexcut as always is high quality. These tools as they come are razor sharp and holds its edge extremely well. Huge Flexcut fan for Life.

Great very sharp

I have to admit I was a little disappointed in this purchase. Not because the product isn't what it said it was, But after receiving it I thought there would be a bit more to it. I understand its a beginner carver set so its hard to be to critical but not only does it feel cheap, For what you get I could have gotten at my local hobby store for about half the price. Not the sellers fault it's mine. Keep in mind I'm not a wood carver but for the money I was expecting a bit more. It all comes in a nice little package about the size of a DVD. I really can't tell you if the tool is going to break because it was a Christmas gift and my son has yet to open it.

The blades are good quality, very sharp, and the little "boot" project and included video let you watch the technique and pick up on some safety things.I wish the kit (with instructional DVD) could have been purchased with permanent handles rather than one handle that must be used on all tools. Pulling the blades out and replacing them is a bit of a nuisance and probably a good chance to hurt yourself. The DVD says additional handles are available for $10 each, so I may go look for that. As a beginner, I had to choose whether I wanted knives with handles or the DVD. If you don't need the DVD, get a set with permanent handles. That is the one-star deduction.Still, good set. You will want the Flexcut Slipstrop to keep it honed, since even the first project can dull the knives noticeably and make carving a little more difficult. May as well get it when you order. It works great.

I decided to give Flexcut another try in case my first purchase was a fluke. I ended up buying this set and just like my first purchase these knives can barely cut any type of wood. Extremely dull, the v-tool is absolutely useless. I have cheap linoleum cutters that work better than these for wood.
