Great fun for the grand kids!
My wife and I recently took the kids and grand kids (5 and 7) on a Disney World trip. Of course a lot of our time was spent out at the Orlando attractions, we had some down time each day and both my grandson and granddaughter loved playing with these! They made several of the creations in the accompanying guide, they also made several on their own. The Wikki Sticks are a bit fragile, so too hard of a tug will break the stick. It can still be used, but over time the sticks will become too short to use. But for a couple of weeks of entertainment I think these are a nice buy.

What a fun product Wikki Stixs are....
Ah Wikki Stix… The old fashioned wax covered yarn. My daughter LOVES them and I do as well because: 1) It’s not an electronic device 2) It requires imagination. She’ll sit for hours making creations that I’ll inevitably have to wear but I don’t mind as it’s is a fun and it’s a healthy time consumer. You’ll get a box filled with sheets of Stix (468 individual pieces) along with some activity books and other fun stuff. What else can you buy so cheaply that will entertain for so many hours? All in all, it’s a great product that will keep the young and old alike playing. Now go give them a try!

Fun product
The box is large compared to the amount of product you get, yes. But, I though it was so your kid can store their creation in the the box or use the box in the crafting. Overall the product is fun for kids. My children love it. Its clean and easy to use without any real mess. I know some parents complained that there isn't enough pieces to make some of the larger items pictured, but the wax strings are not meant to be used to make the internal body of a dinosaur or a car, for example--use play dough for that, or buy a figurine and then you cover it with the wax to decorate it. If you bother to look at the suggestions or instructions, it pretty much tells you that. The waxy string is used as a covering for your kids creation - like wrapping them around a coffee can, or a shoe box, or paper mache or a figure. You can use them to decorate paper. Think of it more like paint without having the mess to clean up. I think over all you get quite a bit for the money and for the most part it can be reused for quite sometime, as long as you have a clean work area for your kid to create and play in. If you have your kids playing in pet hair, dirt, and dust, then yes likely the waxy string will get pet hair all over it and get dirty, but that's not a fault in the product. I don't normally leave reviews, but I think its important to review a product for what it does, and this product is great.

Good Fun! Highly Reuseable!
Bought it mainly because this product piqued my curiousity! It's a great product! My 3.5y and 2y had alot of fun with the stix. The older girl unleased her creativity while the younger one had fun twisting her favourite colours together. There's a good variety of colours in the box. It's very sticky and left some sticky bits and marks on the walls wherever they stuck the stix on. Good thing it's easy to clean up. It comes with a simple activity booklet we can reference if you want to do more structured educational play with the kids. The sturdy box is also good for storing the stix after play. Best of all i got this at a good price!

Love for our travel bag. They pack well and are an easy open-ended toy to bring along to various activities.

Fabulous creative toy
My 6yo daughter started using wiki sticks we had for my older boys a year ago. She enjoyed them so much that I bought this set. Now she's getting another set for Christmas. She made her own version of Frozen wall and furniture decorations (so far, the color and wax is not hurting the paint). Elsa now has hair as long as Rapunzel's. A plastic cup is now a birthday cake. The possibilities are endless. If she sticks them to her real dolls, the wax does get in their hair and is impossible to get out, so I don't recommend that. She does things I would never have thought of. It's a great toy!

Better than playdough
I cannot say enough good things about these! I am not a playdough fan, although I do allow my children to use it, as it makes a mess and once mixed you can't unmixed it. These, however, take care of both of those issues! There is no mess to clean up! The kids can play and then put them in bags and walk away. No picking playing out of the cracks of the flooring, table or carpet! The Stix can be mixed up! They can twirls them together, make a ball or a nice picture and the Stix will hold their shape and stick together but also easily come apart. They are reusable! They can play and put away for so much longer than playdough that the price is well worth it in the end. The can be used in dot to dots or on laminated pictures. We find pictures online, laminate them and then the kids can use the Stix to accent their pictures. When done they remove, put them in bags and we reuse the pictures another day. Will continue to use and buy, so I definitely recommend. These would also make great gifts or fun things to do at birthday parties.

Love them, but WAY too expensive
I think Wiki stix are great. I buy them for my niece and nephews every year. I use them in my classroom and with the children I work with. But dang, they are NOT a good value. I'm pretty shocked at how little you get for the price. It's literally yarn dipped in wax, but they charge an arm and a leg for them. I'm starting to think that it's time to go back to pipe cleaners because I don't have to take out a second mortgage to afford those.
