Excellent hammer. I love the fact that is made in USA and forged from one solid piece of steel. Looks great, has nice feel and balance when in-use. I highly recommend these. The 16oz, 24oz, and 32oz ones are also well worth the money.

It's more expensive than wood handle hammers, but you'll never need to worry about the head coming loose or flying off. The one-piece steel design does make it heavier than wood handled, so keep that in mind when ordering. It feels closer to 40oz than 32oz in the hand. The handle grip is comfortable to use and does a good job of not transferring vibration and shock to the hands. The sides of the shaft are not painted on mine, just polished a bit. I was kinda hoping it would be, to guard against rust, but it's not that big of a deal.

Good hammer for auto body work, Ball peen side however has a coating that easily marrs on first use. Weighted about right (24 ox) but could still be improved on the throw.
