GREAT!
If you use panko in bulk like my Japanese wife does...this is the product for you! We keep an extra bag around. Have ordered many times. Great product. Usually arrives the same day or the day after.

The price is right!
Kikkoman Panko costs $1.00 an ounce in the 8 oz. box or $.035 and ounce in the 2.5 pound bag. The bag is slender and flattish, and it was easy to find a spot for it in my freezer. When my 8 oz. package is empty, I will use the bulk bag to fill the old foil re-sealable packet that I keep on my freezer door (thawing the bulk first to avoid condensation.) Delighted to find this. I am low sugar and I make cobblers with fruit, and Panko/melted butter for the topping. No sugar added to either. So crispy and tasty.

Bulk is the way to go!
This is great for deep frying shrimp, fish, veggies etc. I like that it comes in bulk. In the stores, I can only find small boxes of this item with a high price for just ounces of this product. I take this large bag and vacuum pack it in smaller packages so that it stays fresh longer, up to a year!

They’re Delicious
Panko bread crumbs in general are a great, easy to use pantry item to have on hand. I particularly like Kikkoman Japanese style panko crumbs better than other brands because they are not highly seasoned and maintain their crunch even after cooking. If used as breading, the result is a light crust that’s delicious. If you prefer a more solid coating, the bread crumbs can be ground finer yet they don’t get “gummy” after cooking like traditional bread crumbs can. I often use these bread crumbs to create a savory “streusel” topping that I sprinkle on meat, vegetables before roasting, even on casseroles before cooking and salads as a topping. These bread crumbs accept seasoning very well so they can really be customized to individual tastes. Hope this helps. Enjoy.
