Famemaster 4D Vision Giraffe Anatomy Model, 14.5 inches

My daughter loves animals and the giraffe is her favorite. She wants to be a vet so I thought I would get this for her even though it is a bit above her age range. The pieces are small so keep that in mind. It is not to complicated to put together but getting it to snap and stay together is a bit harder. One side is the giraffe and the other side is clear so you can see all the anatomy of the giraffe. This is great as we are learning about the parts of animals were they go and we can talk about what that specific organ does as we are putting it together so it is an amazing learning tool. Once you get it all snapped together you can display it or you can take it apart and do it again. This is really nice so you can learn were the giraffes organs go and you are able to commit it to memory with each time you piece it together. It is a great learning tool for anyone as long as your younger ones have plenty of supervision with the parts as some of them are very small. I would recommend a child over 6. I genuinely enjoyed putting this together and now it’s a display piece on my mantle. I’m fascinated by the concept and can’t wait to start a collection of these pieces. The giraffe specifically was larger than I had expected.

Bought as a Christmas gift for my daughter in college for pre-veterinary program. She loved it and put it together immediately! She now wants to collect the whole set!

So neat. I don't use them for education purposes. I just like to put them together and look at them. Because they're cool.

My daughter was excited to get this, however it was somewhat difficult to get the pieces to pop together. She is 10 and doesn't usually need help with this kind of thing, but after struggling with it for about 15 minutes she asked me to finish it. It is kind of a pain. There aren't that many parts, but they have small tabs that don't fit together well and can break easily. As you get one thing in something else pops apart again. The tab on the ear broke when she was trying to insert it. This is not something you would take apart and put back together often, which is what my daughter would have like to have done. It would look nice sitting on the shelf, you can see most of the organs through the clear plastic cover. We were also missing one piece so we sent it back for a refund. It wasn't quite what we were expecting.

The concept of 3D anatomical animal puzzles/models is genius. The giraffe is one of my favorite animals, so I decided this would be my first anatomical model.NOTE: The same model is sold under different brand names. Mine happens to be Famemaster.The paint job and anatomical molding are satisfactory, but the model is disappointingly flimsy. The hard, thin plastic pieces slide together with tiny tabs that don't always fit well and that break off easily, so be very gentle when assembling the giraffe. Many of the pieces don't fit together perfectly, so there are cracks. Except for these faults, the finished giraffe is nice-looking. And it was fun putting it together.The giraffe comes with a flat plastic "stand." It's not attractive and I threw mine out. I'm going to glue the pieces of the model together and then mount it on a homemade stand. It really needs to be secured to a base because it falls apart easily if it tips over.I like the giraffe enough to buy another critter from the same maker.
