We used a 1:1 mixture by volume, so 1 cup beer to 1 cup fry mix, or however much you need to make. This was the lightest crispy batter. It was delicate and very flavorful. It didn't have that 'scrape and tap with a fork' crunch. That flavor was amazing. I wouldn't do this every time, because sometimes I just want that cronchy cronch of the batter when mixed with water. But for a change up in texture and flavor: try mixing with beer. Don't use a fancy beer, keep it cheap and simple. Original review: KFC - Korean Fried Chicken - is so delicious and very very easy to make at home. Use your favorite recipe. I recommend one that has you brine the chicken before battering and frying. We've made boneless fried chicken and bone-in and it always comes out great - very crispy and crunchy with good seasoning and flavor. The thickness of the coating is customizable based on two things 1. how much water you add to make the wet batter (the default recipe is 1:1 water:fry mix - this is what we use) 2. Whether you add a 2nd coat of dry fry powder to make it extra crispy. All the recipes should tell you this but if you haven't found your recipe - here is the secret to making it extra crispy and crunchy: 1. Batter the chicken with the wet batter. 2. Find a big lidded storage box or use a paper grocer sack to apply dry batter. 3. Sprinkle a generous amount of dry batter powder in the lidded box or paper bag. 4. Then put the wet battered chicken on top of the dry batter powder in the container. 5. Then generously sprinkle more dry batter on top. 6. Shake the box or bag to coat the pieces with the dry batter over the wet. 7. Remove the chicken, shaking or tapping to remove any fry powder that didn't stick to the wet batter. 8. Fry the chicken. If it's larger pieces on the bone (i.e. anything but wings) your recipe will likely recommend frying 2x to ensure they are cooked through without burning the batter. We don't have to add any seasoning to this fry powder to get good flavor so it couldn't be any easier. This is the same exact brand we can get at the Korean market, but with the added benefit of us not spending gas money and a ton of time to get it - because we live almost an hour (2 hour round trip) from the closest Korean market. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!! Review: So good!!!!! - Love it so much !! Made so good chicken sandwiches!! chicken patties turned out amazing effortlessly. Only one ingredient I added was just a little bit of garlic salt! Crispy outside, juicy inside!!! No more penko!lol

Cook at 180 Celsius for about 7 to 8 minutes for Wings
Excellent taste. Very mild. Really liked. I have been experimenting with different batters; so far I like this one the best. It's really good. I put out two bowls, one with 1 cup water and one cup mix, throughly stirred. The other with a cup/cup and a half of dry mix. Wet the wings throughly, and then dredge them in the dry mix coating them throughly. When you have enough ready, put them in your preheated 180 degree Celsius oil. I used peanut oil. Don't over crowd your fryer. It to about 7 and a half minutes to fry my wings. I checked them with a digital cooking thermometers. My wing were at about 180 Fahrenheit. They have to be at least 165 Fahrenheit internally. I may buy some beer to use next time in the batter mix. Adjust your frying time for larger pieces of chicken It is really good batter. Enjoy.

Love it
I was leery about buying this because of reviews about the taste. I bought it and the flavors are amazing. I added it to my essentials list and I have another one in my cart. It's great. Just make egg/milk mixture and then dip in the powder. It's the easiest fried chicken mix with great flavor.
