Works very well
Used these to add two exterior outlets for lighting (Christmas and other lights). The smart function is easy to use and set up. I especially like that you can turn on/off each plug either together or one at a time giving you two switched outlets per unit. It nice to not have to go out and plug/unplug the lights. These can easily be installed into an existing outlet (please turn off the breaker to the outlet before installing). For my install I was piggybacking off of existing electrical which requires more work but it still went quickly with excellent results.

Works great so far!
My husband installed two of these. They seems to work great. The Geeni-to-Alexa took a little doing on my part but I'm not all that app-savvy. Did finally get it all connected and works smoothly.

Pretty good with a few caveats
I was looking for some smart outlets to control a white noise machine, air filters, and a bunch of lamps. I picked this item because it had 2 USB ports in addition to 2 AC outlets. For the price, it's great to see the inclusion of the USB ports. One quirk of this device is that each outlet appears as 4 devices:- Top plug- Bottom plug- USB outlets- Entire outletThis is great for customizability, but since you can create scenes/routines in the app to control multiple devices with one command, it's unnecessary to make the entire outlet appear as another device. If you install a bunch of these all over your house, it can quickly become confusing.Although I thought it would be convenient to have USB plugs built-in to the outlet, I found that I never used them because if you have a new-ish phone, they all require fast-chargers or else it will charge slowly. When it's installed and powered on, the reset button has a little blue light to tell you that the outlet is working. This is kind of convenient, but it's really bright in the bedroom. If you have a bunch of them installed, they're basically bright enough to be used as night lights. One other thing that I noticed is that the WiFi on the outlet is not very strong. We were using a single WiFi router in our house, but in order to use these, we had to upgrade to a mesh WiFi router. I wouldn't take off any start for this though because there's a lot of technology crammed into a tiny wall outlet, so I didn't expect the WiFi antenna to be extremely strong. Just be aware that even if your laptop or phone can access your WiFi from the same location, this WiFi outlet might not be powerful enough to find it.For a review of the physical aspects of the outlet, I don't think this outlet is as high quality as outlets from Lutron or Legrand. When you plug in something, it feels slightly "notchy". This is probably an extremely nit-picky comment, but it was easier to plug in things into the standard AC plug that this replaced.Overall, the plug works as described.- The Geeni app is pretty easy to use and integrate with Amazon Echo- There's very little lag, which used to be a problem with Smart Home devices- A lot of features for the price (extra USB ports)I'm giving this 4 stars because it's "almost perfect". Maybe in the future, they'll add a way to disable the blue LED.

It turns off the router and turns it back on as scheduled!
First off yes this will shut down your router overnight and automatically restart it in the morning based on your schedule. Could not find that answer anywhere!!Installation: 3 stars because first one we received a screw top just broke off where the wires insert. Got the second one quickly and was a bit of a challenge to loosen wire screws enough to get them in but finally got it. Then it was too big for the current box because of the ground wire screw. Trip to the hardware store for a new outlet wall box and a handy husband later and it was installed.Use: Minus some user error setting the schedule to on instead of off, set up was easy. Did have to plug the Wi-Fi into a different outlet to set up. Set up the switch in the app then moved the router to this plug. Set the schedule and it works. And if an adult wakes up in the middle of the night an wants Wi-Fi the schedule can be overridden via the app with the Wi-Fi off and it recognizes it.Nice feature is that both plugs are timed and can be schedule separately. And we got the two outlets with two USB ports for right at $20. Some non smart plugs with USB ports are > $20!This outlet is a win win for us as we help teenagers learn to value sleep and help protect them from late night mistakes by simply shutting down the Wi-Fi to all devices in the home. Sure I could take all devices at my bedtime but they are up later and want to help them learn to be responsible with some limits to help guide them.

Great switch
The WiFi switch was easy to install and the app works well. It also works in the Alexa app with voice control. I recommend the outlet for anyone running a smart home.

Device is too big for normal boxes
Ordered several months ago and, way past the return period, finally got around to installing only to find out you can’t ground these while working with a standard size NM rework box or NM wiremold. The ground screw is too tall. Slightly lucky for me I’m working on an old work update GFCI protected circuit with out an equipment ground already, but I’ve run a ground to the new devices. This means even if some point I’m able to ground the main circuit I would have to replace the outlet again to ground it putting in extra work later. After powering the devices up and using the app they are pretty easy to connect to WiFi and they have an at least usable automations capabilities. If you want to use these like myself for controlling kids bedroom TVs, it’s possible but requires some ingenuity setting up the automations. The only really good these have going for them is how inexpensive they are.

I can finally get rid of smart plugs
I needed a smart plug but did not have room behind a dresser. In searching for a plug that would plug in from either the side top or bottom I came across this plug. I thought I would try it. Well first it is so easy to install, it installs just like a normal receptacle. After loading the geenie app I tied it into my network and the plugs just worked. All I had to do was to link it to my Alexa app which was very straightforward and presto the thing worked. You can actually control each plug individually. Super but I need to see if there is a way to just have a way to control both at the same time.
