Look elsewhere for a 1/48 Mig 17.
This kit originated from Smer circa 1990 and it’s clear that the moulds haven’t aged well with a great deal of flash requiring careful trimming and sanding. The tail section consists of two heavy pieces and no locating tabs so careful fitting is required. You’ll also need a lot of filler for the tail fin, horizontal stabilisers and the wings - again, these have no locating tabs so fitting is a pain.It’s possible to create a reasonable good representation, but you’ll need a lot of weight to keep the nose down if you’re building it with lowered undercarriage. However, the decals are useless, mine immediately broke apart when immersed in water.It is a relatively simple kit though, I must confess that I did enjoy building it, even if the fit and decals are awful.
