Good looking, well built and fairly priced.
Very nice product!I have a Surface Pro in a leather type cover and case, and I recently saw a nice HP that was built into a leather folio. I like leather cases on devices, for one reason it allows them to blend in on my car seats. This makes me less worried someone will notice them and break in to steal them if I run into a store quick. I also personally think they just make the device feel better in the hand and it adds a little classiness to the device. So naturally, after I decided not to abandon my Surface Pro (provided by my employer) in favor of one of the HP leather folios, and came to my senses about the ability to slot my MacBook in a leather case, I searched for such an item. My search led me to multiple places, but I decided on this one. Why? The price, the product images, the color, and the reviews. Am I personally disappointed, nope!Pros:Price! This was probably my top reason for buying. I would have obviously preferred real natural grain leather, but this is decent and priced really fairly.Quality. The product pictures looked decent. At the price point, I though what I usually think with this kind of purchase; for that price, I’ll replace it if it’s not decent. I’m not disappointed. The stitching seems machine stitched, but the materials appear to be quality and it seems made to hold up. The thread isn’t popping loose, like when cheaper threads are used. I’m actually a computer engineer professionally. This is important to this topic. If you’ve ever watched a labor and delivery nurse, you know why! They work with babies. You seen one scrub one?! Not gentle! (Not knocking nurses! My wife is one. Most know what they are doing and do an impossible job for most of us!) I’m just saying that they aren’t hurting the babies, but they don’t handle them like a new parent does; like they are porcelain and may break them. I have some, they don’t break easily, btw. Now, imagine how I handle my computers! I can break them, but I have the means and ability to fix them if I do. I come home and usually throw my computer bag on my bed. If I do any work at night, which I frequently do, I probably toss my computer (loose out of the bag) at my bed as I walk by to go to my master bathroom at least once. The case holds up!Feel. I want to distinguish this from quality. The case seems to be well made, yes, but it also feels really nice. It’s not just held together well, it doesn’t get in the way, it adds a dimension to my MacBook, it has features like a spot for a pen that’s out of the way but convenient, and the leather (although synthetic) actually looks and feels nice. I wasn’t sure how the feel or the quality were going to work out, but honestly I’m not disappointed at all.Aesthetics. No odd variations to color, discolorations, or damage to the exterior skin of the PU leather. I’ve experienced this issue with a natural grain leather before, but I would suspect some of this is mitigated just by using the synthetic product. Either way, it’s aesthetically pleasing.Durability addition to your device. I wasn’t looking for this to be a protective case. I was interested in this almost solely for aesthetic reasons. Still, it feels like it definitely adds to the durability of my device. I wouldn’t want to drop it from any height, but I don’t know how anything would scratch the top or bottom now, and I actually would feel better dropping it in this than dropping it without it!Cons:The PU leather put me off a bit at first, but that in itself is the only reason I list this as a negative. The PU leather is actually good looking on this, seems to be quality synthetic leather, and the overall quality of assembly makes me much more trusting of the choice of materials. At this price point, you won’t find any that aren’t using PU leather, if they say they aren’t I’d be skeptical!Putting this thing on. So this is my only real “Con”. They actually show how it’s added on to your MacBook in their photos, so it wasn’t a surprise. Honestly, I didn’t think I’d be in favor of it before I got it, and I was actually less enthusiastic about the way to equip this accessory once I was doing it. My 2019 13” MacBook Pro with Touch Bar had to have the screen tilted backward to its limit. Then I was able to pull the case over the edge of the screen and tilt the screen back upright. This felt like I was on the very verge of actually damaging my computer. Now if you read above, I said I’m abusive to computers typically. I’m a computer engineer (but I work on windows typically - this is my personal device bought for hobby coding) and I can typically fix any damage I’ve caused, but I feel like I’m about to crack the screen. It doesn’t damage the screen (one reason I’ve not taken away points), but I don’t like it! Seeing how it goes on, and realizing that a ‘click on’ style wouldn’t really work as well for this case, I have no better suggestion. As much as I dislike how this thing goes on, I think it’s probably the best way (the other reason I didn’t take points) to accomplish that task.Overall, really nice looking case that I plan to have for a few years and hasn’t shown me any reason that I won’t be able to.*I’m NOT a paid reviewer. I received no compensation for this review. I didn’t receive nor will I receive money, products, discounts or other considerations for my reviews. I bought this product with my personal money, for my personal use. I’m just a consumer. I am ‘that guy’ that will write a company a letter if I’m upset, but I also will if they do something amazing. I typically review products that are either very good, or very bad IMO. This happens to be one that I think is very good!

Overall good for the average user.
PROS: Very good quality for the price. Leather is soft and seems durable, it does not have the plastic feel that many other cases around this price point do. It will be good for the average user and protect against dust, scratches and light dings on the outer shell of the computer. Helps to improve grip when carrying the laptop as the leather is nicely textured and not slick. Small pocket on the back side of the screen (outer side of case) it nice for a few papers or if you have something to clip onto the case. The covered area where your wrists would rest when typing are firm and don't easily slide around which is good and won't cause damage.CONS: Most important thing is that this case will somewhat insulate the laptop causing to get slightly hotter slightly faster in addition about 1/3 of the intake vents on each side are blocked and there is very little space for the exhaust port to let out air, for the average user doing simple streaming, browsing or writing this shouldn't be an issue. But for people who do more taxing things on their laptop that cause it to already run pretty hot I would advise caution or to simply avoid this case. The case is rather thin and has little padding so I don't expect it to do much as far as protecting the laptop from a drop or hard hit of any sort. The corners that hold the screen work well but only have a very thin fiber on the side that actually touches the screen and I believe it could cause scratches over time when lifting/closing the laptop so I would highly recommend a screen protector, if you've got a screen protector this should never be an issue I think it would be great if the manufacturer had an option to bundle one in. The little pen or pencil holder on the right side seems pointless and the case itself doesn't cover the entire side of the laptop so I would be worried about it scratching the side of the computer if I used it.TL;DR Quality is good for the price but should use with a screen protector to be safe. This is a great case for average users but if you are someone who does more taxing things on the computer be ware of heat from slight insulation and lack of adequate cooling.

My favorite purchase ever!
The media could not be loaded. Please watch my video for reference, I love this thing. But let me reiterate (and no I’m not being paid to say any of this):-The pocket is stretchy, and holds a lot of things including papers, pens, highlighters, etc. But it doesn’t stretch out, goes right back to flat once everything is taken out!-The sides of the case protrude just enough to save the sides of your laptop from any damage. The corners of the laptop also conceal your laptop from damage.-The color, the leather, the stitching, and the inconspicuous logo is gorgeous!-The aesthetic is so professional! It looks like a portfolio, a binder, or a book. Gets so many compliments!-Easy installation, easy to remove to clean your laptop (which won’t need much cleaning)-Does not cause your laptop to overheat.-Scratch resistant, soft, lightweight, and so so so, I cannot emphasis this enough, SO DURABLE! As I mention in my video, this has lasted me 6 YEARS, and still has so much life left. It has undoubtedly been a lifesaver for my laptop.
