work perfectly on Sidi's and Dura Ace
I bought a pair of carbon soled Sidi Ergo's a few years ago while in veterinary college. I didn't realize that the hole pattern wouldn't hold a spd cleat to fit my old Dura Ace road pedals. After spending so much on shoes I couldn't afford a new set of pedals, and I really love my old Dura Ace pedals. Sidi said their $25 SPD adaptor would not work on my Ergo II's. So the last 4 years I've been riding my15 year old chewed up mountain bike shoes with those beautiful Sidi's staring at me from the shelf everyday, I finally found these. It seemed too good to be true, too simple, too cheap. Well they arrived and fitted up in minutes. They worked great on the trainer, and have performed perfectly on a number of road rides so far. Most of my road rides are on a steep mountain road so they've experienced plenty of torque and standing pedaling. The clip in is very solid (more than my old cleats), the float is plenty, and I've had no issues coming unclipped unexpectedly. Unclipping takes more effort so I may need to adjust my pedal tension. The stack height is very low and with carbon soles I don't notice the smaller cleat footprint. This is a very minimalist set up and the cleats seem more walkable than those big Look cleats although I wouldn't hike in these either. I am planning on gluing two thin strips of rubber to my soles that will make these low profile cleats very walkable. The only negative I can find is there is almost no lateral adjustment which was not an issue for me. The cleat is about where I would have put it anyway to avoid shoe rub on the crank arms.

Worked perfectly
These were easy to put on my cycle shoes and work very well. High quality - have been using for a while.

Good quality, very useful, no instructions included
I have hybrid platform/SPD-compatible pedals on my bike so I can use it for commuting/errands with street shoes, and also riding for exercise with cycling shoes. I won some really nice road cycling shoes, and wanted to use them with my current pedal system instead of my old, heavy MTB shoes, so I got these adapters. The quality is good - they are solid and sturdy - but they did not come with any sort of packaging or instructions. They did come with multiple screws of various lengths, so I just used the ones that seemed most appropriate and it worked. But there were varying numbers of the other length screws, so I'm not really sure how you would use them. I assume they are for different types of shoes, but without instructions, who knows? There was also a little rectangular brass piece with two holes drilled in it that fits over the center of the cleat, but its function was unclear. I left it off in the interest of weight (it's not on in the photo of this product, either). You can attach these adapter cleats to a two-hole shoe, though why you would want to instead of getting regular SPD cleats, I don't know. But you can. The cleats did hit farther back on the ball of my foot than I was used to, as some other reviewers noted, even when I put them all the way forward on my shoe, but it didn't seem to be a problem once I was underway. I did not have to adjust my seat height. They were also a lot trickier to clip onto the pedals, and slightly more difficult to unclip, but I chalk that up to me just needing to get accustomed to them and the tension adjustment on the pedal. By the end of the first ride I was getting better at clipping in.I'm very pleased with the quality of these cleats and they were exactly what I needed, for a good price. However, I wish that they had come with some instructions, just so I could know I put them on right.

Just what I needed!
I started spin classes at my gym and wanted to be able to clip in. I already own cycling shoes for outdoor road cycling that are SPD-SL three bolt cleats. Most spin bikes run SPD two bolt systems. I didn’t want to have to get new shoes so these cleat adaptions worked perfectly. I simply removed my old cleats, bolted these into the three bolt pattern and now I have an SPD cleat ready to go. I put them to the test and they held up. Clipped in and stayed clipped. Perfect low cost solution to a different bolt pattern!

Worked well for a few months
Purchased this product to convert Peloton shoes for use with the spin bikes at the fitness center. It worked well but after just a few months of using 1-2 times per week, the metal snapped and is no longer useable; see picture. The company does not have a phone number to call and have not responded to my emails to customer service, so not only is the product inferior but their support is non-existent.I do NOT recommend this product.

Difficult to disengage - UPDATE
Good: cheap, lightweight, easy to adjust fore and aft, easy to engage. I've used them with Shimano A530 and A600 pedals, with the same results.Bad: very difficult to disengage. Both with--and without--the adapter plate, they don't want to come out of the pedal easily. You can still wrangle them out, but do it well before you need to stop, and I'd warn against using them on your mtb, where you may need to get in and out a lot. Fine for road and gravel, though. The main advantage, of course, is being able to use your favorite 3-hole road shoes on regular SPD pedals.UPDATE: I discovered that the extra hard corners on the cleats were the cause of difficult disengagement. So, I used a Shimano cleat to figure out what needed to be cut off, then used a cutting disc on my Dremel to remove it. I'm sure they were made how they were, to keep from infringing on a Shimano design patent, but they can't keep me from modifying them in my own. It's not pretty, but they disengage wonderfully now, feeling no different from a Shimano cleat. You can see how much material I removed in the photos, and believe me, it was worth the 10 minutes that it took. Very happy with them now!
