El Chilito Powder, Habanero, 1 Lb

You know when you just want something to have that strong spicy and hot flavor but still not burn your mouth? This is what this product is. It’s a beautiful flavor of pepper that truly adds to the dish you’re making. If this runs out I will certainly buy this again and again. It’s so good, one might feel they messed up at moments because it has a true kick but the burning never really comes through to the point where you have to give up eating your food. It’s a real treat especially for those who understand the need to cook their food with peppers like scotch bonnet while Making sure that it doesn’t bust open in the boiling process. For those who understand what I’m saying, it’s that flavor of the pepper you’re after not just the heat. This is all of that and more.

Good heat level and freshness.

I use habanero powder in a product that I manufacture and sell throughout the U.S. It’s hard to find quality, fresh, and consistent habanero locally, so I’ve had to turn to online sources. This is one of only two brands that I have found that meet my standards. Great quality, and a good bulk price, I can’t ask for anything else!

This used to be 100% pure habanero powder last time I bought it. This time it was cut with something like Paprika. The original product would last 2.5 years. I just bought it and I've had to use 1/3 of it just to achieve the same spice level in the food. For shame! It's not as hot and smells funny, not like Habanero!

So delicious, and truly hot! I use this in everything from coffee to curry. It enhances almonds, makes apples exciting, gives pasta sauce a kick, rescues grocery store salsa, etc. I love it, can't recommend it enough! To make hot hot coffee, add about 1/4 tsp ghost pepper powder to each 2 Tbsp ground coffee, then brew as usual. Adjust pepper to taste, as it's pretty spicy. It's wonderful in cocoa too.

My kid loves spicy foods and I bought this for him and his tastes, but if left out next to the other spices, after a few weeks there starts to be bugs moving around in the container. Tried just sifting them out but they must have very small eggs and the only way we could keep them from coming back was to keep product in the freezer. We have gone to growing an excess of these peppers and making our own after our experience with this brand. The flavor was there, and if kept in freezer those eggs are not going to hurt you, but rather not experience this and internet said was common with such peppers that we are better off making our own.

I am a spice addict. I do not desire recovery. I will continue to buy this fire in a can! It is well made.

I keep a little jar of this in my purse. I find it a lot easier to use than pepper spray
