GHIRARDELLI Intense Dark 86% Cacao Chocolate Bar, 3.17 oz – Bold Extra Dark Chocolate with Rich Cocoa Notes

I am a recent "convert" to dark chocolate! This Ghirardelli brand 70% dark chocolate is the best and most tasty! I highly recommend it! I can't stop eating it. It arrived yesterday, and today I have to order more!

Great if you're looking for a very bitter dark chocolate. Pretty worth the price if this is what you're looking for and seems to be of good quality too!

It tastes good, and was reviewed by Consumer Reports as having the least amount of lead & cadmium metals in it, as compared to many other dark choc. bars. Once you get used to the unique dark choc. flavor that this one has you get to like it and it has high cacao content so it's got health benefits.

I don't drink coffee but I like caffeine. I love cola but get addicted to it. Dark chocolate has caffeine, but I lose my self-control and end up eating the whole bar in one day. I decided to get this because it gives me the caffeine I want, but is so dark that it doesn't taste good enough to tempt me to eat too much.

I noticed that the product's nutrient label is missing on its Amazon listing, which initially made me hesitant to order due to concerns about sugar content. High sugar levels can diminish the appeal of intense dark chocolate. However, the label on the packaging indicates 4 grams of sugar per 3 squares—equivalent to just over 1 gram per square. The taste aligns with this sugar content, as it is comparable to other competing brands I'm familiar with. While the chocolate is satisfying overall, I gave it 4 stars because I felt it lacked the deep, rich flavor I expect at this cacao intensity. That said, as always, Amazon delivered promptly and packaged the product well.

Low in heavy metals. Excellent health supplement.

My husband and I each eat an ounce of this chocolate every day for medicinal purposes (if only all meducation tasted this good!) because this bar, this brand, of dark chocolate was rested by Consumer Lab and found to have the most polyphenols for reducing inflammation of all chocolate bars. When they rose in price from $3.00 a bar to $6.49 a bar at our local grocery store, we found these on Amazon for much less and bought a bunch of them.
