I'm an artist (among other things) and needed focused light on my easel when working in the evening. I'm always a little wary about working under lights as opposed to natural light as it can throw colors off. So, getting a light that was the right kind of light that also could mount in various ways to accommodate the canvas I'm working on was important.I was a little concerned that this light was USB as I didn't have a port nearby. When I got it, I realized the cable wasn't long enough to even reach beyond the easel, so another Amazon order to buy a power strip tower (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07MKR57NV/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) that solved the immediate problem but also has been pretty handy to have power so close.The light attaches with a clamp that is pretty heavy duty and opens up enough to attach to most anything I have - it opens up a couple inches. The flexible arm is long enough for most everything I'm doing, but it would really be more useful at 20-24" rather than the present 16". The gooseneck might not be as rigid if that were the case. Once you twist it around to get the light where you need it, that arm does not move. So, I guess the trade-off is worth it.The default light setting is a bright white and it's perfect for most of what I need it for. I do like that I can change the mode to a warmer setting to see my work in different lighting. Any mode is plenty bright for a smaller area. I've had some USB lights that were pretty pathetic, but this provides good illumination. This would be great for any work area.The only negative is the light switch location as is it's along the length of its cord and if you have the light mounted behind something (like an easel) it's a little hard to find/get at. All in all, that's a minor nit for otherwise a great deal.

This little light has been one of the greatest things I have ever purchased. In our new house our living room lights are all hooked up to one switch and there are three lights in one small size room and it's just Overkill!We use this light in our kitchen at night time when it starts getting dark and we love it because it has adjustable settings and it's extremely bright on the highest setting. To be quite honest with you I think it has saved us quite a bit of money in electrical bills.We have been using it every single day for over 6 months now and it hasn't malfunctioned or lost brightness. By everyday I mean it's practically on all day and all night! (After we go to bed we use it as a nightlight)Just buy this, you won't regret it!

Really like the design, weight, feel of the light. Light quality is great for the price. Like the bright white/soft white options. Controller is easy to use. Like the 5v USB power cord.PROBLEM:Dear manufacturer, please make this good lamp a great lamp and provide strain relief at the lamp head for the power cord. Wires pulled off the PCB and the light would not work on the very first use, right out of the box. The light bar is NOT designed to be turned/twisted even though the flexible neck allows this motion. This rotation ripped the wires right off the LED PCB. Please affix the power cord to the lamp head so it will not rotate, or find a new flexible neck attachment so it will not allow rotation!

Great for a small area of light like a desk. I like the different colors of light from warm to cool. I think I've had it about a year with daily use, so far so good, it's still working.

I used the lamp once soon after purchase. It worked fine, provided good light etc. Then, 6 months later - during which time it was clamped to a desk and not plugged in - it doesn’t work at all. The return window is, of course, closed. Frustrating!

I use this light for painting. It clips onto my wooded easel perfectly. I love that there are 3 lighting options and you can dim them or turn them up. My first one stopped working after a little over a year, but for such a nice price, I got right on and ordered a new one and it was delivered the next day.

I really wanted to like this, because I liked the design and clip on functionality, but it didn't live up to expectations.First of all, it's very flimsy-feeling. Adjusting the angle of the "head" where the light bar requires caution and some of the screws were looser than I'd like. Adjusting the angle is easy enough, but it won't really hold in any position due to the weight of the lamp portion. So instead of having a full range of positions, really it's more like straight up, or an "S" shape so that the weight of the lamp portion is supported.I do like the inline switch to power on and off (positive clicks) and adjust the lights.Worst of all, there's no shade/lens on the lamp so even with it mostly facing down, there's direct light/glare getting into your eyes which is annoying and fatiguing. I made my own "shade" with white tissue paper to diffuse the light that was getting into my child's face. If they had just built in a type of frosted plastic shade, it would have helped a lot.Overall, it would be a return, but I'm still using it with my homemade shade.
