Not at all as described
I bought this for a client to use as the backing for the Roman Shades I made for them. The Product was definitely NOT AS DESCRIBED, it was 1 layer of heavy SATIN fabric. I have been sewing for over 55 Years, nothing frays like satin. You look at it it frays. That's one of the reasons why wedding dresses are so expensive, Satin requires double seams EVERYWHERE to prevent fraying so the final product can withstand wear and tear and washing. If I had the LUXURY of time I would have returned it and bought something else. It is very heavy satin and it does work to black out any Light transmission, but there is no thermal layer for limiting heat/cold transmission. This was definitely NOT AS DESCRIBED

Perfect
-This review is for the black 84" length blackout curtain liners.-Easy to put up (took 13 minutes from bag open to to put both panels installed)-Total black out (You can see in the pics...before, 1 panel only and then with both panels. There is another window in this room that does not have a blackout curtain. That's where the light is coming from. I will be ordering the same for the other window.-No weird smell, no snags, no defects-They're a bit heavy (that's why they work!). You might need a middle bracket if your window is wide. This curtain rod already had a middle bracket.

A great energy saver
I'm in love with these blackout curtains. I've noticed my electric bill has gone down and my apartment is much cooler.

Decent overall
The material of these curtain liners are nice enough to use as standalone curtains rather than liners, but doing so does not offer a total blackout during the day. In this photo they are being used alone without an additional curtain layered, and you can see that while it manages to substantially darken the room, there is still some sunlight that comes through. The photo was taken at 3 in the afternoon when sunlight is directly shining into my windows. For my personal needs, this product works just fine since I am using it mainly at night time to block out lights from a train station I live next to that is open 24 hours a day. However if you are a shift worker that wants to black out a room in order to sleep during the day, then it is probably worthwhile to look into your other options that may provide curtains with thicker, more opaque material.I am taking off one star because my order was missing some rings and didn't have enough for all the loops in order to hang it on a rod. I had to use my own shower curtain rings to substitute. Other than that, it was fairly easy to put up. After using these for a few days now I find that they attract dust pretty easily and it looks very noticeable on the dark, black fabric. It doesn't bother me too much but it is something to keep in mind if you are thinking about purchasing these in black.

NICE!!!
These, added to the blush pink curtains, did the job! Completely blocks out the light. Seem to be well made and the rings matched up with the grommets on my curtains. Very happy with my purchase.

Nice fabric
Very happy with fabric, no chemical smell, very high quality..loops can’t fit 1/2 inch rod so you will need to use rings or a smaller additional rod..had problem with rings, but seller responsive to fix.

These work for me - but didn't match description
I hung the drapes across doorways that had no door in order to keep heat in the room. They are fairly lightweight, but they have worked well for that purpose. They came only with rings -- no hooks. The opening in the rings is 1.5", so they should fit over thick rods. I found most of the clips hard to open and close (but my fingers are not as strong as they used to be), so I would not want to be doing that standing on a ladder trying to attach them to existing, hanging drapes. (See photo showing how the rings open & close.) The top hem of the curtains are not open at the ends, so I wouldn't have had the stated option to pass a curtain rod thru the hem at the top unless I cut the ends off.

Great purchase!
Does what room darkening curtain liners are supposed to do. Purchased in white, and really do block out light. Currently have these in our living room, under a decorative curtain. Thankful that came with rings to attach to curtain rod. I look to purchase another set for our bedroom!

Well worth the money
Added the white blockout panels to my bedroom curtains. Saved me a lot of money not having to go to a seamstress. It does the job. Very happy with result

Avoid the white ones
Purchased the white-grey and they definitely don’t block 85% of the light. They work OK but definitely not the best on the market especially for the price.
