I just bought a new 2025 auto and of course none of the new cars have CD players. Since I don't want to pay $25 a month for Sirius satellite, I needed some other way to listen to the music I already have. Found a video online that showed how to format this thumb drive to record music from my computer and play it on my car's infotainment system.It works beautifully so far and now I can enjoy music from the 100's of cd's and vinyl albums I've collected over many years. Of course the albums must be recorded to cd first and then loaded onto the computer. Since I've got more time than money I'm okay with that! Look online for how-to videos.

This is perfect for low profile installations such as on my very-thin laptop computer. I keep a few of these installed as the laptop has a pitifully low RAM [about 64G] and these give me room to expand data and files. Data speed is impressive. I just ordered another one.

I bought this for the car because of its small size, so as to not have something fall on it and damage the car port as might happen with typical sized thumb drives...This little guy does the trick and works just fine in my new Odyssey..

This is the perfect USB drive for in-car audio. Holds thousands of songs and doesn't stick out like standard USB drives. Also, most car audios don't read more than 16 or 32Gb drives, so this is ideal. Good luck filling it up with music - I have thousands of songs on mine and it's still not full.

If I could give zero stars I would.I have ordered two of these to use on my laptop and neither were worth the time nor effort of the order. The first one would not be recognized by Windows and it kept telling me to insert a disk. It is like the flash drive had no memory in it. I had it replaced only to have it do the same thing.The second one worked and I put data on it and when I removed it, it came to pieces, leaving the guts of it lodged in my laptop USB port! Now an expensive trip to the repair shop to have it extracted without ruining the port. These "cheap" ($7) nano drive will end up costing most likely $100 by the time repairs are made.And Amazon wants them back for some reason, so back they go. They are wasting my time and their money. I DO NOT RECOMMEND BUYING THESE NANO FLASH DRIVES. Save your equipment because they come apart.

Tricky to review. As far as a compact thumb drive the speed and function are great. My critique comes with how I personally wanted to use it. I thought this would be great to use in my car. I put music on it and was planning on plugging it into the USB jack in the car. It went in great. Connected to the car great, BUT, when I went to remove it, that was a struggle. The unit is definitely compact. I found the top plastic hard to grasp when trying to remove. It was smooth, not really slick, just smooth so grasping with thumb and finger was difficult. When using it with a laptop it was also a little bit of a challenge to get out. I wanted something that was compact because I am always concerned that the longer "stick" thumb drives will get hit and bend while they are inserted. There was absolutely NO concern with this thumb drive. In summary, NO issues with functionality as a thumb drive, just did not work for the specific application I needed it for. (I kept it and still use it, but am cautious what port it goes into.)

One of the applications I wrote to manage my network writes a ton of temp files to the hard drive. I first looked to see if I could create a RAMDisk on Windows 11. No via Microsoft, yes via a 3rd party product. That didn't work for me so I considered a USB drive but they stuck out so far I couldn't leave it plugged in all the time. I bought the 32GB unit, I could have used the 16GB drive. I don't need room. It's fast and it can stay plugged in with no issues. Cheaper than another SDD and if it lasts good, if not they are cheap. It works fine for my application.
