I no longer fear my carpets.
This is so much easier to use than my old upright. It is much lighter, but since it is a stick vacuum, all of the weight is in the battery and is borne by the shoulder, whereas traditional uprights support their own weight. However, this makes for easy maneuverability, and spares my wrists the savagery inflicted by pushing and pulling a heavy upright. The powered brush head is highly maneuverable and can get into tight places. The drawback is the small size of the head means more strokes to cover the same area. Also, edge cleaning with the powered brush head is lacking. Changing over to use a nozzle is not as convenient as it is in many traditional uprights, as the unit will not balance itself during the change. It is cordless, and it still amazes me to vacuum an entire level without a thought of changing electrical sockets when the cord becomes taut. (Yeah, I'm late to the party.) However, I've been wary of lackluster suction from a cordless vacuum. In this model, the suction does not disappoint. Vacuuming a carpet full of sunflower seeds and peanuts in a room where bird seed is stored is just not an issue. Suction only weakens when the dust bin is full. Fortunately, emptying the bin and cleaning the filter is effortless, not an event that requires scheduling, unlike emptying the bin/bag of other uprights and canister vacuums I've used over the years. Also, this vacuum is quiet. While I will not use it if someone is studying or doing other contemplative work in the same room, it's mostly because I do not want to ask them to move. I don't have to check if someone will be asleep on another level of the house before using the vacuum, as I have had to do previous to owning this machine. I used to wear headphones and listen to music with the volume cranked up high while vacuuming. Now, I can listen to audiobooks at a moderate volume. For a while, I avoided vacuuming, often going weeks without cleaning carpets, due to the difficulty of moving the old upright. Vacuuming just one level of the house took 45 minutes if I did a quick vacuum, destroying my wrists in the process. Now, if I have 15 minutes, I whip out the vac. One should not live in fear of one's own carpets.

Not Loving It
Of course, I have this after having a Dyson. Our stick Dyson was getting old and I saw this reviewed by Sarah of Go Clean Co. Pros: We are a tall family and it is a great height for us. It is very easy to maneuver and get under furniture. Cons: It's suction is just not very powerful. It struggles to pick up some of the simplest things. It doesn't come with a lot of attachments. It has one brush that is attacked, you just flip it into place when you remove the barrel. It's ok. Not great. Not impressed. We will use it, but our next one will definitely be a Dyson.

Great for the price
I love this vaccum. Sucks up more dog hair on a runner I have than my big shark vaccum. It's so light weight and easy to use. Could it stay charged long enough to vacuum a huge house...no but it's perfect for quick cleaning not the heavy duty stuff.

Good for tile or hardwood
I got this vacuum to replace my older one. It does fine on hard surfaces, but it not a good fit for carpet.

A cordless vacuum made for tall people, FINALLY!
I gave this vacuum a 3-4/5 stars. Works well on hard floor but not the best on carpet. It’s a tall vacuum so it’s great for tall people. One built in attachment, one attachment you can add on. Good for vacuuming Cob webs on ceiling corners due to its tall height.Downfalls would be the carpet suction and the dirt bin is smaller so it has to be emptied every time if you’re cleaning several rooms.Battery life is decent, of course it last shorter on max speed. If you are looking for a carpet worthy cordless vacuum, I’d go with the name brands (we have a Dyson which we love). But this little vacuum is nice for quick clean ups.

For pet lovers who need a quick clean-up
I have mostly hard wood floors with a couple throw rugs, but three cats and two dogs. Dust, fur, and litter granules get in every piece of furniture and in every cranny. The Roomie comes in very handy as a light weight, battery propelled, dual purpose vacuum. The dust compartment is easy to empty. the vacuum has turbo power, when needed, for heavy suction on deep carpets. My two negatives are that the hand-held component doesn't seem to have as much suction power as the unit does when it is used as a whole vacuum, so cleaning dirt out of the car was not as efficient. The second is the unit as a stand up vacuum during storage. There is a wall attachment that comes with the unit and is recommended by the company to hang the unit up when not in use. I prefer standing it up and learned by error that the hand-held component MUST be detached and hung onto the front of the vacuum's handle in order for the unit to stand without falling forward. Overall I am very satisfied with the Roomie's efficiency for the jobs I need it to do.

Loved for two weeks...
I loved this vacuum for all of two weeks, back when I had just some light dust and debris on the floor. It is so light weight and cleaning it was a breeze. Once I actually had more than the smallest of messes however, this vacuum failed me. Constantly clogging tube, filter only lasting for two sessions before needed to be cleaned fully, the bristles on the head barely do anything. I'm so sad as I had hoped value for money would be found here.

Dog hairs
This product is very light you feel like it not doing anything but the dust box tells you differant, the only problem I find is with the dust box it is only small which in itself is not a prob but I find all the dust etc ( dog hairs ) seem to stay at the end near the filter they don’t come out of the box unless you open the other side (filter side ) to release them , but overall good product

one of the most Flexible Vacuums I have had
The media could not be loaded. I really like how this gives a sufficiently strong output as compared to the D18 model that I previously had. I find the dust storage capacity to be slightly smaller but it is also easier to empty it as compared to others. I really like the innovative touch of the flexible handle that allows me to reach certain spots easier. The control is basic and has a regular and a max mode. The vacuum also came with limited but decent attachments

Not a good vacum or company to do business with.
Bought my first vacum and the suction hose on the rotating suction head broke in half. They replaced it (great). Second vacum I recieved worked good and the the power head stopped working. Cleaned out the brush to make sure it was free moving and nothing. No lights and no brush movement. The vacum unit works the the power head won't. Contacted the vendor and all I got was the run around. They want me to ship the unit at my cost meanwhile it's under warranty. They will not help me. They do not return emails. Will never recomend this vacum because it seems to have a power brush problem and customer support is terrible. Don't by
