Great Guitar - Set it up properly.
I was not disappointed in any way with this guitar. It's my northern guitar for when we're home in Massachusetts. I leave the Gibson in Florida. The fended is way less expensive, but the quality is there, and the sound is excellent - after a couple of tweaks. When the guitar arrived, I knew it'd need SOME work, so I was ready. I'd ordered a set of BONE pins, nut, and saddle. When I immediately replaced the strings upon the guitar's arrival, I fitted the bone components. If you have an inexpensive guitar, it's likely that these pieces are composite. Replace them with bone! Replace them with bone! Replace them with bone. This (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07CQSZQZL/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1) is the one I used. I can guarantee (from other guitars I've owned) the proper nut and saddle increase both volume and sustain. If you don't feel up to the job, take it somewhere and have it done. The neck guitar that I received needed no adjustment, and the new saddle matched the original one perfectly. By the way, the built-in tuner and pickups are worth the extra expense.

Fender CD60SCE Mahogany electric acoustic guitar
This is my 3rd Fender in my collection. I originally played a Les Paul Jr in the 60s. I loved that one, the stratocaster is my choice now. The other is a 3/4 Fender Acoustic guitar, nylon strings. Great practice one for me. The CD 60 is farthest in the photo, the built in tuner works great. After initial tuning, the guitar stayed tuned first couple days. Seems to have a good setup, the tonal quality is excellent and with amp really nice. Kinda warm, not twangy.

Awesome guitar! Highly recommend!
I bought the Fender CD-60-SCE. It came in good condition and on time. The action is great right out of the box. And the built in pickup sounds good so far. The built in tuner is also very accurate. About 16 months ago I bought the Fender CD-60S (which is the same thing but without the pickup) it is holding up very well and still sounds great. The only sign of wear is the finish on the neck has worn off a little from my fret hand but it is barely noticeable and not at all an issue. They also stay in tune well. overall REALLY RECOMMEND THESE GUITARS!!!

Sounds great
A significant improvement over my beater, Hohner acoustic. Easy on the hands. Seems to be settling in after practicing on it for about a half hour. Strings definitely were not pre-stretched. Nice sound projection and the body resonates nicely. Sustains a note/chord for long time. It rewards you well sonically when you hit the chords and notes just right. I can't say much regarding the "setup" because I am not skilled enough to determine if the neck needs adjustment or anything like that. Looks fine to me when I hold it up closely and look down the neck/frets. The saddle and nut also seem fine, but I will likely replace the saddle and nut as well as the pins with those made of bone for both tone and cool factor. Head stock and tuning knobs all seem fine on close inspection and operation. Sorry to report not much useful info from me on the electronics because I don't have an amp. But one thing of note... Be aware that the built in tuner will not work unless you have it plugged into an amp. I confirmed this with the included Fishman instructions. I thought the tuner would come on anytime I wanted so I could tune it. Nope. Must be plugged in to an amp. Thinking back, it makes sense, because the sound is transduced into an electric signal by the Fishman pickup on its way to the amp. Docked one star in craftsmanship for the sloppy application of stain you see in the pic as well as some minor finish aberrations. The builder(s) just let the stain run down into the sound hole; they didn't actually put it there with intent. It would have only taken 3 seconds to correct this during the staining process. I will fix it with one of those stain pens you can get at any DIY store because my eye automatically goes directly to that spot when I pick it up. Leaving it raw wood would have even looked better. Also noticed some aberrations on the body if I hold it at specific angles. You can detect them as distortions of the glare, but not when looking at it "normally." I cannot feel them when I run my finger over those areas though. Maybe just the clearcoat. All told, this seems like a decent guitar for the price. I am not disappointed, even with the small cosmetic flaws. Hopefully one day I will be able to play good enough to get all the potential out of this guitar. Good luck to everyone learning. Anything worth learning requires effort. At least, that is what I keep telling myself.

Very Pleased
I ordered this model Fender Guitar for my 86 year old husband as his Christmas present. Giving him this beautiful surprise present at Christmas brought joy to our family. My husband had admired our son's guitar that is this same model and said how much he would love to have one just like it. At Christmas when my husband first received the guitar I wrote an "outstanding rave" review about the guitar. Less than 2 months later I am back with very bad news. My husband complained to our son that he was having difficulty tuning his guitar. Our son checked it out and discovered the problem! The 6th string (E), 2nd, 3rd and 4th frets have sunk into the keyboard there by making the guitar untunable. The guitar sounds horrible! My husband is very disappointed and his Christmas gift has turned into a joyless, sad and expensive mistake. Fender Company can you help us? July 16, 2023- Since I wrote my original evaluation about the guitar I bought my Husband, the Fender Guitar Company has come to my rescue. They have made everything right. I found them very responsive to my problem and more than willing to help. My husband now loves playing his beautiful guitar with the fabulous tone.

For that price you can have a good quality sounding acoustic guitar. Comes with built in tuner so its really a big plus. Build quality is top notch. Looks good overall and feels good as well. Perfect for beginners

The d,b and e strings buzz irritably after few months of usage and you can’t help( maybe try using capo on other frets!) Have watched tons of YouTube videos to try correct this but in vain. Just don’t buy this if you look forward to having a guitar that your kids will play (if you’re 25!) coz it won’t last even half a year. Now, instead of sinking the repair costs I’ll have to look for a new one in the nearby store 🥲
