The most well built training wheels I’ve encountered
These are extremely sturdy compared to most (not a flimsy metal) they worked for my application with a bit of modification (had to bend the cross brace a bit on the non gear side due to a kickstand that I had to remove) the up and down adjustment was spot on the wheels are basic cheapos but there training wheels and could probably be swapped out with a pair of the flashy ones that you probably already purchased that didn’t fit originally 😉

A good, sturdy set, BUT..., be ready for some additional work.
I mounted these on my grand daughters 20" Schwinn. They come with extender nuts to fit on the end of the axle. The brackets only fit when the extenders are installed. The thread pitch on the extenders is 10mm x 1.0. The threads on the axle are 3/8"-24 fine thread. The extenders will not fit the bikes axle! I believe most kids bikes are the 3/8" thread. I am a mechanic, so I already have a 3/8"- 24 tap. I tapped the threads on the extender to fit the bikes axle. I did have to go to the hardware store to buy (2) 10mm x 1.0 nuts. I also had to trim a bit off the left hand bracket to clear the mounting tab for the coaster brake. If you are considering this set, it might be worth it to pick up a 10mm x 1.0 nut to try on your bike axle first. If it fits, you're good to go. If not, you will also need to buy a 3/8" -24 tap to use these. All this being said, they seem like a pretty sturdy set of training wheels.

Fits 20" Huffy *multi-speed* mountain bike
I ordered this set of training wheels for my 9yo son's 20" Huffy mountain bike with multiple speeds. (Yes, he's late to the bike game and tends to be over cautious and hesitant to try new things, so this is our compromise to get him to even give the bicycle a chance.) The listing specifically mentions that it's for bikes with multiple gears, so I don't know if the fit will be as good for a single speed bike.Installation was smooth using the included parts and instructions without any modifications, and the metal brackets feel very thick and sturdy compared to the training wheels that came with my younger son's 16" bike. The wheels are holding up well so far after a week of daily use.I'll update this review after a few more weeks if anything changes, but so far I'm very pleased with these training wheels.

Not universal!!
THESE ARE NOT UNIVERSAL TO ALL BIKES. Did not fit the bike we bought. The support arm has a curved flange. The part of the bike it was supposed to surround was oval (more flattened out) so it wouldn’t fit. My husband tried to use pliers and a mallet to open it up a bit, but then the support arm was no longer supportive. The training wheels wouldn’t stay in place and made the bike unsafe.

Training wheel for 20 inch, good stuff.
1st picture is the cracked wheel, 2nd picture is repacked hardware, sent with scratches, last 3 picture are of finished install. I had to use a hammer to bend the hardware to fit on the gear side. Overall the set is good, metal brackets are solid. Plastics wheels, (mine came cracked) are cheap, hope the kiddos learn to ride before they break.

Worked out great.
Works well. For some bikes, like ours, you might have to use the extensions on the gear side. It comes with 2 extensions. It's very sturdy. My son didn't trust them at first, but them he took off like a rocket. I only wish they had other choices besides plastic tires.

Flimsy
Very flimsy. They bent after a couple of tines riding and were no longer touching the ground. Also it feels like they were made fir smaller bikes and not adult size ones. I bought this for my daughter to learn riding an adult size bike. She’s talk enough for it. She tried it once and it was a fail. She ended up learning without them. I sent it back. The return process was very easy and no problems.
