Here a pocket, there a pocket, everywhere a pocket, pocket!
I've been long over-due getting new shorts for my 10 mile bike commute (to work). Finally decided to try a different brand and these seemed to get good reviews.I've worn these a few times in dry, lovely weather and as of today that's all I can write about.PRO's:- pockets, pockets, pockets!- zippered pockets- side / hip pockets- stretchy material- belt that clips together/quick release- lightweight- zippers have nice sized pulls- pocket lining is slick and not super bulkyCON's- long, very long (like to the top of my knee cap)I have been wearing Pearl Izumi shorts for years now (not the tights but actual shorts with removable chamoi liner) during my bike commutes. I also wear cotton Chino's to ride my bike.I don't wear liners anymore...my sits bones are toughened up after many miles of riding. So here's what I think:I love the pockets! Especially if I'm going to ride to the grocery store real quick or some sort of close by errand (reads no backpack required).I can fit my SamsungS5 in one of the zippered leg pockets, keys in another and still have lots of pockets to choose from for money/credit cards, etc.I feel like the stretch factor is good...but it does seem like they get stretched out a tiny bit.I ordered the XXL size as I'm not a twig sorta girl these days. I think I could have ordered the XL and been fine though. Sometimes I wear ladies 18 or 20 and sometimes 16. You know how clothes go in the US. I'm about 5'8" so the fact that these shorts go to my knees was somewhat shocking. They will be great for the fall when I don't mind the tan line issue but I think for the summer I will still use my Pearl Izumi's.If you like pockets and don't mind that these run long on the inseam...I think you'll enjoy them. I think the quality is well worth the money...so far.

Comfortable
These shorts are comfortable, light weight, and made of stretchable material. The length is long enough that they don't bunch up on me like some shorts do when I'm riding my bike. They have nice deep pockets which is hard to find in women's clothes. My Google pixel XL fits in the cargo pocket with the zipper closed!I only gave them three stars for two reasons: First, the zipper is on the "wrong side" compared to what I'm used to, so every time I go to unzip them, I grab the button with the wrong hand. Most "American" pants have the zipper open to the right, these open to the left. I realize this is a matter of preference, but just so you know. The other issue is that the material (though it doesn't look it in the picture) is slightly ribbed causing a loud "swooshing" noise when walking. In fact when I walked into the kitchen last night I was asked "what is that swooshing noise?" LOL So it's very noticeable.

I bought a small black pair of these shorts last summer for work. I am 5'-6" and 130lbs. I climb up and down ladders indoors and out, and the lightweight and slightly stretchy fabric moves well with me and keeps me cool. I found that they were also perfect for light bike riding and hiking, as well as for casual wear out around town. So this I year I decided to get the blue pair in small; still a great fit. I love the zippered rear and side pockets for various small items from a screwdriver to sunglasses to my phone. I also appreciate the deep front pockets for holding cash and cards, making it easy to go to summer events like concerts or a ball game without needing to carry a purse.I plan on getting another pair of each color, since good utility shorts for women are uncommon. I hope that they will come in tan or khaki at some point.

Will buy another pair for my curvy body.
I'm saying that they are somewhat large because I'm 5'9" and have curvy 47.5 in hips which would be a 2xl but I wanted a snugger fit. They sit slightly below the waist. These are almost bike short tight for me but the stretch with the nylon makes them comfortable. I wear them mostly mountain biking (with padded bike shorts underneath) and walking. They make noise when you walk but it's not like corduroy noise. I wore them recently as a volunteer for a weekend charity event and I loved that they really held up and looked good for 2 days without a wash in between.

Amazing comfortable fit:)
I love the big side pockets, my cell phone fits:) The fabric is very strong & durable but stretchy for comfort. I like the way the front pockets are designed, lays flat and holds items secure. I'm super impressed all the way around!!! They wash up perfect and dry fast. I already ordered a second pair;) I wore them jet skiing and everything was secure in zipped pockets.

Not worth it
Too tight in the waist even though I measured & matched to the size chart and the fabric makes swishing sounds when I walk.

Don't like the material
I like all the zip pockets, but the material is very heavy, hot, and noisy when it rubs together. The pocket is not tacked down, so it sometimes sticks out from under the hem when I am sitting. Also, the button is on the wrong side for women.

Three Stars
Not a good value, but I kept them and use them. I think a little over priced
