Great for home networking use
I’m not an IT pro or anything like that, but I found this to be very easy to set up and install. I decided to run direct networking cables for all of my home office equipment through the attic, and this allowed me to create a very clean and professional set up. I bought a punch down tool to use with it, but what comes with every basic networking tool kit would work just fine.Great quality, very straightforward, and good looking patch panel.

Durable, inexpensive, easy to install.
Fantastic little punch block. Nice and cheap, but still feels durable. As others have mentioned, they don't color code the block. I almost gave it 4 stars for that, but a very nice reviewer posted pictures marking which colors go where. So scroll around, find it, and make note of it. This is a cheap unit and that's a minor inconvenience, so temper your expectations.

It's decent
This worked perfectly for my situation. All the phone lines were run using cat5e to a distribution block. I just cut them and punched them down into the patch panel. It mounted perfectly into the existing location. My biggest gripe is that more expensive patch panels are better color coded on the punch block itself, making them easier to terminate. This one has the color choices on it, but not directly on the termination point. Don't do what I did and punch it using the B standard without first checking how the ports in the wall are terminated. Turns out, I'll be redoing the ports in the wall now too...

Great product, needs better documentation.
Very well made, nice and sturdy. My only complaint is that a simple wiring diagram would have saved me a lot of research. I had never punched down a patch panel before, there were no instructions to show you which pins went to which jack etc.

From spaghetti to organized
Took my network from spaghetti to neat and clean; see the before and after photos. Very easy to install. I chose a horizontal patch panel so I could feed the lines in from both ends. Its easy to understand the pattern of the cables for punch down, I went with the B wiring sequence since my wall jacks were already wired in that pattern (need to match at both ends). Wish I had done this years ago.

A decent Cat-6 patch panel...
I got this little patch panel to supplement my existing netwok. It comes with no instructions. The wire diagram on the back is a bit confusing. Hence, I initially wired it incorrectly after realizing I wasn't getting gigabit speed because it was wired horizontally like my other bigger patch panel instead of vertically. However, it's easy to punch down the wires with a cheap plastic punch tool. It seems to be the cheapest 12-port Cat-6 patch panel on Amazon. Great value for the money & has exceeded my expectations, thus far.

Easy to wire and works great
I used this patch panel to wire up my computer network. All the Cat 5e and Cat 6 cables that come into my data cabinet connect to the back of this patch panel, using "110 style" punchdown. It makes for a neat, convenient installation.

Good product
Very nice piece. I used both cat5 and cat6. It was a bit harder to punch down the cat6 since the gauge was thicker. I drilled holes on the side so I could flush mount on the wall instead of the bracket. No instructions so you just look at the diagram and punch them down in order.
