9/86 Very Light Blonde Pearl Violet Wella Color Touch Rich Naturals Ammonia Free 60ml

This was my first time using this as a toner for blonde hair, I used it with the correct developer (the colour touch one). And I was so scared it was bright blue while developing (10 mins on damp hair is all I dared) and still looked blue while I was cutting. But once I dried it off it was beautiful. Really ashy violet white, but not dull. Will use again.

Wella number system can be misleading if you don't know how Wella colour works or how the colour wheel works.Wella colours are for professionals so if you aren't a hair stylist, always seek advice before using.This semi permanent colour is for hair that has been lifted to a very light blonde with bleach (level 9 and above) or on virgin blonde hair that is naturally level 9 or above.Usually when hair has been lifted to a level 9 and above there will be very little orange tone left, meaning it will probably be a yellowy tone. So, the 8 pearl (which is blue on the Wella Colour wheel) will be very prominent with this toner, so be cautious as it will quite easily turn your hair blueish. The number 6 violet (which is purple on the wella colour wheel) will neutralise yellow but again could give a violet sheen if your hair is bleached above a level 9.I use this along with 8/81 (equal measures of each colour) mixed with 1.9% developer. This gives a silver tone on level 9 bleached hair.I have also used it with 7/89 on hair that has only lifted to a level 8, and it comes out a lovely clean blonde.So with 9/86 remember the 9 is level 9 blonde hair (very light blonde) the pearl 8 is blue which neutralises orange tones and the violet 6 is purple which neutralises yellow tones.Also remember, Level 9 toners won't work on hair that isn't alteady lifted to a very light blonde.I'd also like to add that Wella Colour touch only lasts up to 15 washes. If you find it only lasts for 1 wash it usually means your hair is very porus. Which means it will absorb colour well but lose it fast. You can maintain this with the Wella Colour Fresh masks in between toner applications.

Absolutely stunning

I recently used the Wella Colour Touch Rich Naturals in shade 9/86, Very Light Blonde Pearl Violet, and unfortunately, the results were far from satisfactory.Firstly, the colour outcome was disappointing. I expected a vibrant, pearly violet blonde, but instead, the result was much more muted and lacked the richness depicted on the packaging. The final shade did not match the vibrant, pearlescent hue I was hoping for, leaving my hair looking dull and flat.Additionally, despite being marketed as ammonia-free, the product did not feel particularly gentle on my hair. After application, my hair felt dry and somewhat damaged, which is surprising given Wella's reputation for quality.Another issue was the colour longevity. The dye faded quicker than anticipated, with noticeable colour loss after just a few washes. This rapid fading undermined the value of the product and required frequent touch-ups to maintain the desired look.Overall, Wella Colour Touch 9/86 did not meet my expectations for a high-quality, ammonia-free hair colour. The lack of vibrancy, combined with poor longevity and less-than-gentle formulation, makes this product one I would not recommend.

Requesting a new item and got no answer yet...I'm not gonna buy with this one ever again. Disappointed the way the item was sent! how unprofessional fgs...well, at least didn't broke itself on its way! to see something positive...

Turned my hair bright blue, the camera diluted the pigment so it doesnt do it justice. its a good thing I'm not precious about my hair otherwise I'd be fuming. Just hope it fades quickly

Shame as perfect colour when applied, but washes out after 1 wash
