GumChucks | Faster, Easier Flossing! | Floss Starter Pack | Reusable Handles + Universal Flossing Tips

I saw these at a Dental trade show and love them. I purchased them for all my family members. I did not give it 5 stars because of the clips. The plastic clips that connect the floss to the chucks is just another waste in the landfill. If the figure out a way to clip floss to the tips of the chucks without the extra plastic then it would be 10 stars!!!

I love the idea but unfortunately this would not go all the way under my gum because the part that goes behind the braces wire is not long enough so I can't reach my gum. If they make that part it will be perfect. I don't know if I just have extra long teeth (I don't think I do) or if the brackets on my teeth are placed higher than the average but either way I can't floss with this because, again, the floss won't reach my gums.

Note that this starter kit is not braces friendly, so for someone who had to educate themselves to get this for the first time (like me), here it is. I bought this regular starter for my 6 years-old and another set for my 8yo. The younger still has to learn to coordinate his hands, it seems that he does better with flosser. The ortho kit is perfect for my oldest with braces, and it is so much better than having to thread floss tooth after tooth. He is very happy and learned how to manage it pretty fast.

Absolutely Love this little gadget for my daughter who has braces. Makes flossing SO much easier than having to thread through the braces with threader floss. It's more fun too so she doesn't mind doing it nightly! However be aware that when factoring the refill flossing tips, you are looking at spending over $9 a month to floss once a day (just over $8 if you buy with a multiple pack discount). Flossing is SUCH an important part of dental hygiene for anyone and even more so for anyone with braces. For the price, it may be a good idea to alternate these with a Platypus or regular threader floss for a less expensive alternative!

I bought GumChucks for both myself and my 7yo daughter. We both adore them! My husband still prefers to use the little floss picks when it's his night to make sure she did a good job flossing, but I find the GumChucks easier to use. Also, when we do the twice-daily check to ensure that her flossing is up to par, there is little or no gunk to floss out. The only reason why I gave them 4 stars is because, if the handles were a tad longer, perhaps my husband could use them in our daughter's mouth more efficiently and comfortably.

Our dentist recommended Gumchucks for my six year old who refuses to floss let alone brush her teeth. I was blown away at how easy these are to use and even fun! It was so easy for me to use them on the kids even with their tiny mouths. This allowed me to get all the way in the back without having to stick my hands in their mouths. What a great product. I even bought the adult version for myself. Other than the color of the holder there was no difference in size between the kids and adult version. I would definitely buy again!

These were recommended by our pediatric dentist because our kids were having a hard time flossing their back teeth. They are very cool and easy to use. They look like nun-chucks when you load a flosser and it makes flossing much easier. You only need one set of Gumchucks, you just buy additional flosser refills. I gave it a 4 out of 5 because they are pretty expensive compared to regular flossers or dental floss. Other than that, no complaints.

Gumchucks Kids Floss Starter Kit Our pediatric dentist gave us a starter kit to use with our preschooler. Gum chucks are easy to use, and he loves them. He does not mind when we floss his teeth, which we were not doing before getting these. It works too, because you can see all of the food that comes out. A few times he has used them on himself. These are much easier to use than just regular dental floss. We have been using them for about a year, and accidentally lost one of the handles, so had to order another starter kit.
