Cottonpure Sustainable 200 Thread Count Breathable 100% Cotton Mattress Pad, Twin XL

I developed a nickel allergy last year that makes me allergic to just about everything, including synthetic fibers, especially polyester. I could no longer sleep on or under my beautiful comforter set. I discovered that my pillow top mattress and expensive pillows were filled with polyester. I started off having to buy a 100% cotton filled stuffed and outer casing. Then I still discovered that the outer and inner casing were polyester filled. You can get ripped off so easily I bought this with fear and trepidation but it turned out to be great. It's just light enough that I don't lose the comfort of my pillow top mattress but has enough natural filling to protect my skin from the synthetic covering off my mattress. It's light enough and cool enough that it doesn't bother my husband. I'm 63 with no ovaries so, it doesn't eliminate but helps with the hot flashes.

When I first opened it, the pad had a strong plastic smell from the plastic cover and required airing out for some weeks. Then I washed and dried as directed. The cotton topped-area is slightly smaller than my queen mattress's surface, but the stretchy sides secure nicely around my mattress's thirteen-inch depth. Overall a pretty good product.I finally figured out why I felt like there was something hurting my hip. This mattress pad has a defect. A long ridge-like bump running through its center (it's easier to see when held up to a sunny window). Cotton batting is denser than poly. I expected this queen all-cotton mattress pad to feel less puffy than one with polyester batting, but I didn't expect the double-thick ridge running through the middle (hip area). Unfortunately, this defect makes it unusable.

Got one of these for protection over a wool mattress topper. Oddly enough the wool stays cool on hot nights... works like a charm, but I wanted to keep the fancy wool topper protected so I don't have to wash it often. Unfortunately there are millions of mattress pads out there and almost all of them are polyester filled - which would put me right back to square one on the heat retention. It took me forever to find a mattress pad with cotton fill. But finally found this all cotton pad. It's breathable and does not retain heat. Plus it's well made and stays on the bed. After using it a year, I'm coming back to get one for another bed.

My criteria when looking for a new mattress pad was that it be 100% cotton, including the fill; that it not be too bulky; and that it fit our 13" mattress with a 3" gel pad on top. This one covers all three, plus I feel that it is reasonably price and very well made. It is easy to put on our 15" of mattress/pad with room to spare. I would buy again.

I ordered this to cover a latex twin mattress in the guest room. It came neatly packed and clean out of the box. The dimensions are a bit generous, about 2 inches longer than the mattress and a bit wider. The sides are very deep, will accommodate very tall mattresses. The horizontal stitches are spaced by 2 inches, and hopefully they'll keep the fill in place when washed. It's exactly what we needed, feels cool to the touch and is as thick as a thin throw blanket. I will update after I've washed it.

Bought to protect new mattress from body oils and sweat. Breathable. Easy to install. I wash and hang dry for half an hour, then place it in the dryer on delicate low. Not sure if it shrunk because I washed out of box. Fits my model mattress, 12" rise queen, very well.

This is what is advertised. Cotton material in top, fill and bottom. The sides which hug the mattress and help keep it in place are a polyester spandex type. This is not plush so it is not a mattress topper - it is a mattress pad. It does feel cooler than other mattress pads which have polyester fill. Wash on gentle cycle cold to warm water - do Not dry in dryer or it will shrink. You can also have it dry cleaned.

I love that there is nothing but cotton on the sleeping surface, which means cool sleeping! It is comfortable and fits well.
