These handmade birds are quite lovely. They are very unusual, they’re well made, & they have quite a bit of weight to them. They make a very nice one of a kind gift & are well worth the money.

Preference in art is highly subjective, of course, but to me, these are an attractive and well-executed example of local folk art. Additionally, the fact that there's a tiny "flock" that can be arranged according to one's needs adds flexibility in display potential. Everyone who sees them comments on them. Mine are displayed with other metal avian themed pieces, some of which are mere silhouette cut-outs. These are much more detailed and interesting. They are of sturdy construction. As is, they appear to have a light coating of gloss clear enamel, but to ensure defense against rust, I coated mine further, as recommended in the packaging materials. A satin clear enamel provides a desirable sheen. I am pleased with my purchase and commend the artist and his staff!UPDATE: The birds are a sort of grey in color. Couldn't find screws to match at the hardware store. Stainless steel or brass screws stick out like a sore thumb against the birds. I, personally, found some screws in my collection that are a pretty good match, but instead of everyone having to hunt down their own screws, it would be helpful for the artist to include 5 small, appropriate colored mounting screws with the birds..

I was looking for some decorative birds to add to my wall next to a large, wire art tree piece. These ended up being the perfect size. I love the nice texture details and the color works nicely with the tree. (I actually added a misting of copper spray paint to match the tree better, but they are a nice, neutral color on their own). They are very lightweight and easy to hang, as well.Being an artist myself, I definitely appreciate the creativity and craftsmanship of these lovely metal birds.

Added a nice touch to the fence. One of the birds had a split in the face, but I don't think anyone would notice since it will hang on the fence.
