TOP's All in One Seed Mix for Large Birds, Non-GMO, Peanut Soy & Corn Free, USDA Organic Certified, 5 lb

This is an amazing and healthy parrot seed mix with no fillers whatsoever. I feed it to my African Grey parrot. It contains no bad stuff like corn, soy, or peanuts. Their birdie bread is amazing, the ingredients are nutritious and pure! I usually order through their website where it is a little less in cost but you pay for shipping unless you buy a bundle. I only feed my birds human grade foods (stuff I’d eat) and you can’t get better than this stuff!Addendum: as with any diet change for a parrot you don’t just switch overnight or they won’t like it and abrupt change isn’t good. I succeeded because I prepped my 23 year old grey parrot over a two month period to go from his not so pure diet to an organic pure one and he accepted it slowly and now loves it. Always change a parrots diet slowly. Abrupt change isn’t good, especially not a grey who sees change as an enemy. If in doubt always check with your avian veterinarian.

This is the only “seeds” my pionus gets. I sprout it for him and he loves it! The bulk of his food is a premium pelleted feed but his sprouted Top’s is his morning treat. It’s a bit pricey but he’s worth it. I get an earful if I run out and neglect to start another batch. I don’t know how it would be as the sole food, or fed dry. It’s certainly very good quality and not bulked up with cheap fillers like sunflower seeds.

My Goffin’s Cockatoo has a diet of pellets and these are the best . He is excited when he sees the Shiny bag, he climbs in to eat a mouthful . It does not take a lot to fill up the bird. I only feed what he will eat in a day. Throw away any not eaten at end of day. They are like stale crackers , he enjoys these pellets . He also has pellets just for cockatoos, fruits and veggies Nutri berries and Hemp Seed sprinkled on everything, and he likes a small piece of chicken, noodles anything I eat he wants some.

If you check the ingredients against the other top brands, you will find a lot of filler (think corn or soy) that is not included in this product. And my 55 year old parrot loves the food!

It’s nice to find something organic, but this seed mix would be Better suited for a parakeet than a parrot. I have an African grey and he is totally uninterested in this mix.

My African Grey started out on TOP's seeds and pellets years ago, but we hadn't used the products in a very long time. Same great quality and clearly the same great taste. Zaire went straight at it with no hesitation. Right out of the bag, soaked, or sprouted he loves it.
