TExES Technology Education 6-12 (171) Secrets Study Guide: TExES Test Review for the Texas Examinations of Educator Standards (Mometrix Secrets Study Guides)

While the book did not summarize information in an orderly way to me, with many items being scattered throughout the book, it did contain the information needed to pass the test. Truly, there is a wide range of info and to the author's credit, they did a good job of getting it all in there. I did well on the exam by making index cards from the booklet and cramming hard. I would recommend it to anyone taking this exam. I had a really hard time finding other supplements out there.

I was thrown back when my Principal said I needed to get my Technology Certification as a new district policy. I know a good amount of information but full 6-12 across many disciplines is very hard. This study guide breaks it down and makes it extremely easy. I now feel ready to pass this test!

I just took this test yesterday. This book is a broad overview of the material, but (other reviews agree) there is NO WAY that this book alone will prepare you for the test. There are only 76 pages of material before the practice exam. Think of it as more of a "reminder" of the things that you need to study on your own. Since this is really the only test prep guide out there for this 171 exam, it has motivated me to put one of my own together from my study notes and make it available on Teachers Paying Teachers.

This study guide is amazing! I am taking the EC-12 test but I couldn't find any study guides for it. I searched and found this study guide for the 6-12 test and I'm so glad I did. The study guide covers TEKS that I could not find any resources for. I know it will make a difference in my results.

This study guide was not helpful at all in my opinion. The practice test in the back was pretty accurate, but I read this from cover to cover and it taught me very little about what is on the test.

Short, but a lot of good info in it. Studying this along technology today and tomorrow book 2004 and practice tests with texesprep.com you will be ok.
