A mild herbal taste and very smooth, no bitterness. It definitely is a great tea for feeling great the whole day. Drinking a cup at night helps you feel great in the morning. I was feeling sluggish, hard to wake up, but now I find my self just jumping up like normal again. It's effect is subtle, but very present.
