Misleading
Did not realize that this was for full suspension bikes only. I was looking for a stand up rack to transport our BMX race bikes. I was able to modify the rack to make it fit but not exactly what I was wanting.

Compact way to carry bikes. Be careful attaching bikes, they can fall out.
The Hangover rack is great fo hauling 4 bikes. It does not protrude out the back of the vehicle very far, compared to conventional bile rack.Down side was I had 1 bike fall off on the road. I do t know if it's the design or improperly mounted. The rack is a bit difficult to place the fork of the bikes in the rack.

Dangerous - Straps Easily Break Causing Expensive Bikes to be at Risk for Falling
If you use this, please don't trust the built in straps! Use back up straps!I have had this thing for a year and due to the danger of not feeling safe to use it, worrying about losing my bikes to failed straps and not wanting to pawn this extremely poorly designed product on to some poor sucker second hand, I have had to deal with constantly requesting replacement straps from their customer service.I really wanted the convenience of a compact rack that moved the weight of my bikes closer to my vehicle and allowed me to fit into shorter vertical spaces. Instead of Velocirax or Lolo Rack I went with this and after a few months came to deeply regret this purchase. The strap that holds the fork crown of the bike is very weak and prone to spontaneous failure. This is very dangerous as you could be going freeway speed and lose your bike on the freeway causing damage to your bike and potentially becoming liable for causing a massive pile up with a bicycle becoming an unexpected road block.Fast forward to earlier this year. They have since changed the strap design but it is also flawed and snaps where you can see in the photo.Yakima customer support will replace your straps as they break but they break too easy and have another inherent design flaw. For the price of this rack, you shouldn't have to deal with straps breaking on you with the potential to lose your bike off of the rack and all the risks associated with that. They should change the carrier design to something more reliable and safe. This is unacceptable as designed. Consider Lolo or Velocirax instead if you want a vertical rack.

Works ok, but poorly manufactured
Wish the hanger was welded to and not bolted to the cross member. Also after only a couple of use one of the rubber straps broke. For the price it should be stronger than that.

Not anything like we hoped
Completely unsatisfied with the product. The hooks that are built to hold the front tire are incredibly awkward and really I don't understand why they would be built like that. Secondly, the rubber straps aren't nearly big enough and don't work well with the way that front hook is designed, and, two of those "strong" rubber straps ripped after 3 uses. I am extremely frustrated that I wasn't able to fully test it until after our return window otherwise I would have returned it.
