The blanket is marked "CE Standard: BS EN 1869:1997" which apparently covers a range of fire situations. Supposedly good for one-time use and has a shelf life of 7 years. I keep mine in the kitchen although it might be better in bedroom? Guess I should have bought a second.

Where are the blankets manufactured?

People's Republic of China. I will say they are made well and are very effective. My son had a grease fire and it immediately put the fire out! Ordered him a replacement immediately.
