Great fuel pump for the money.
I recently bought a small diesel tractor and wanted to stock up on fuel for the winter. After filling a 50 gallon drum it occurred to me that I was going to need a pump to get the diesel out! I didn't want to spend hundreds of dollars on a pump so I researched them on Amazon. This one had pretty good reviews and was reasonably priced, so I bought it.Okay, I don't really love the outlet tube from the pump, but it does the job adequately. The pump came with several sections of pipe that need to be screwed together to fit the fuel tank. By choosing which pipe sections you use the pump can be configured to fit not only the standard 50 gallon drum but also smaller ones down to 15 gallons. The pump also has a threaded collar that fits on the supply pipe and can be threaded into the opening of your fuel drum. It also has a screw on it so you can tighten the pump supply tube/collar fit.So, I assembled the pump easily and popped it into my diesel drum. Time to see if she pumps! And pump she did! I was impressed by how easily the pump crank turned. You crank it clockwise to fill the tank. My Kioti's 7 gallon diesel tank filled so quickly I was caught off guard and overflowed it a bit. I was pleasantly surprised to find that cranking the pump counter-clockwise drew fuel from out of my too full tank and back into the fuel drum. Bonus!I was under the impression form the reviews that this pump was kind of slow. I guess if you're filling a 30 gallon tank, yes it will take quite a few cranks, but for my 7 gallon tank, it goes very quickly and I couldn't be happier. I've been using this pump for over a year now and through most of two winters and it continues to work fine.I'm real glad I found this great little pump on Amazon.

Works amazingly well!
I don't review products a lot, but when I find one that works REALLY well I want to make sure others know about it. This pump works great, I use it to pump out waste engine oil into smaller containers. The old couldn't have been more than 50 degrees but it still moved nicely. The quality it also very good. I just put it together with some Teflon tape and that was it. Make sure you keep track of how everything connects as well as the plug that threads into the bung of your drum.

Dont. Waste. Your. Money
Absolute trash. Owned for just a few months. Used exactly six times. Seized up and the cheap handle snapped. Dont waste your time or money on this.

Works awesome; very reliable
I bought this drum pump after having a plastic one. The plastic one deteriorated over time and the plastic hose cracked. In fact, the plastic pump had issues almost from day one, but it was cheap. After dealing with a subpar pump for a couple years, I bit the bullet and splurged on something metal....looking for reliability. I found it! This pump is indestructible and built to last. It turns really easy and pumps really quickly. The plastic hose extension that came with it looks a bit cheap, but I dont even bother using it. You could always stick on a piece of nice Tygon if you needed to. It assembled easily and contrary to other's reviews, mine is tight; NO LEAKS.It works perfectly; is reliable; and robustly built. So, why 'only' 4 stars? It is TOO good. :) The pump is all steel and has to weigh at least 20lbs. So, it's not so easy to transport, etc. But that is a minor gripe. If it was Aluminum, it would get 5 stars from this very satisfied user.Update: 5/20/14::Pump still working well. It has developed a tendency to leak slightly around the area where the handle assembly meets the pump body. Of course, it shouldn't leak at all (especially since I'm exclusively transferring gasoline) but it is minor for me due to my intermittent use of the pump. If i were using it 24/7, it would be an issue. Contemplated pulling the pump apart to diagnose and repair, but it hasn't bothered me enough.....yet.

Works perfectly
We have a lot of machines on the farm and filling up a 55 gallon blue drum is much better for us. I used this pump and a bit of Stay-Bil in the gas and it works great. The pump is smooth and very easy to turn and it fills gas cans pretty fast. I just take the handle off and hang it up near by to keep anyone from messing with it. At the price point of this item, I'm very glad I didn't go with something 2X the price.

works great in the 55 gal drum
works great in the 55 gal drum . like it for the fact it pumps fair amount of volume with little effort. can fill a 5 gal gas can in just a few min literally 2 min or less. not sure on its longevity tho ill report back on this unit when i have used it more extensively to give honest feed back on its wear and condition (did it start to leak?, seals not holding pump volume? , impeller failure or bypassing, did it fail 6 mo into using it?) and so on. not a high dollar unit but i still expect it to last with moderate use. The pump has the look of being serviceable if you have problems with it not sure if you can get replacement parts to rebuild it ? (seal kit? replacement impeller?)

Works great
It works well for pumping 15 w 40. Much quicker than using the other style pump I had and much easier. It does not leak at all. The hose is a very nice addition although not a real high quality hose. It should last forever pumping oil. I use it in a 50 gallon drum. I only wish it had a better quality hose with a plug to put in the end to keep the dust from contaminating it.
