Impressive XC Control
Best XC grip I've had. I ride a hardtail 29er, and weigh ~180, and these tires have surpassed my expectations on all terrain except anything wet. 25-28 psi for a tubless setup seems to be a good sweetspot for grip and caters to an already excellent rolling resistance. These tires allow seamless transitions to any lean angles during cornering with a very progressive bite. If you're overstepping their grip capabilities, they provide great feel so you can modulate your speed right on the edge of grip.

Favorite trail tire
Great tires for xc and fast trail riding. Low rolling resistance and great grip and cornering. Lightweight and durable for this type of tire. I use them for bikepacking because they are good on the road too.

rolls fast
always a great choice for speed. all these bikes come with knobby heavy tires, they grip ok but roll slow. icons are noticably faster and let you feel the bike underneath you.” loose is fast and on the edge of out of control.” harry from days of thunder.

Best XC/Trail rear tire
Very impressed as a rear tire. Nice and wide, excellent grip, corners well. Seems like my rear brakes actually do something now...tons of traction from this tire. Was pretty easy to mount and air up tubeless with a floor pump. No more Schwalbe tires for me.

Great rear tire. ..
Very happy with this tire. ..I ride in PA and NY, very rocky and full of roots. I run the Ikon, 2.35 as a rear tire abs the Ardent, 2.4 in the front. Great combo. My previous rear tire was a 2.1 Crossmark, I don't notice any difference in rolling resistance during climbs with the wider tire. I notice resistance on the flats a little though. To me totally worth it because the grip in the corners during the downhill is unbelievable. I don't race and only climb so I can go down, this tire is really good.Couple of thing I noticed. ..this tire likes to skid when applying the brakes something I'll get used to. The inky thing I don't like is that its pretty soft, I hope it lasts. The trails can punish a tie in no time where I ride. ..I guess I'll find out.

Very predictable
Very predictable and fast rolling compared to my stock tire. Love them so far.

Just what I wanted.
Fit and work well on my 29er Trek Fuel EX 9. Tires are light, good traction and in the size I bought good floatation in soft mud. I didn't have any problems mounting these tubeless tires myself.
