Amazing tool for trimming veneer
I hesitated to buy this product because it is inexpensive and some of the reviews were pretty bad. But I was about to begin a project of veneering an entire set of cherry kitchen cabinets, and I figured I didn't have much to lose for the price.I have now used it to complete the project, along with projects using oak veneer and white laminate. I can now say the tool is amazing. It makes edges that are so smooth they hardly need any sanding. You just need to change the razor blade after 8 to 10 cuts or so. It is one of the best inexpensive tools I have ever bought.

Along with most of this type . . . IT DOES NOT WORK!
Simply does not work, with multiple tries, different edging material. Left splinters or did not trim the edging at all. Easy to use but needs an inordinate amount of pressure and skill to even trim a small section. All the low cost (reasonable) trimmers of this kind do not work well and not worth the money. I can not recommend any other type. As usual return was a snap. cheers.

Works well once you get the hang of it
I definitely recommend practicing before trying it on your finished work. It is easy to have it ride on the edge of the edge banding rather than cutting it flush, and it is possible to bear down to hard (or at an angle) and gouge a little from the wood face. But with a little practice, you can get a good trim that just needs a little finish sanding or filing in a few spots.

Perfect if careful
I am a typical homeowner and built a small cabinet around my laundry tub in the garage. I bought a laminate product for the countertop and use this cutter to trim the edges. It did a perfect job, but I was slow and methodical in the cuts. I think a person with short patience may have a problem since it does require a focused slow movement to get the perfect cut. I am happy with this purchase.

Works well, for thin film
The design of the trimmer requires that the surfaces be square and have at least 1/2" clearance for the tool to lie properly. It worked well with iron on laminate, but was not up to tougher materials. Just for kicks I tried it on formica and it wouldn't budge. It was easy to replace the razor blades.

Waste Of Money
this is junk. It broke right away. The razor blade is super flimsy and cheap.

I am very happy with this, but it's a Milescraft tool, that's what they do 😉
