I thought it’ll be cool for my kids to make slime until I realize this barely got thick even with the right amount of water added. My kids had sticky slime all on my table, and the stars were hard to put in the tube. No go if you don’t like messy but it was fun to do reason I give it 3 stars.

First of all, I’m really impressed by the amount of slime you can make from this kit. The only needed ingredient is water and it’s otherwise 1 step. The presentation is cute, but the shakers for the glitter are unnecessary. It’s virtually impossible to get the glitter into the containers because the static from the plastic wrapper won’t let go. No worries, though. You can still shake the glitter stars directly from the package into the slime. We got a bug, a brain, and a skull stretchy add ons to put in the slime containers. While it’s entirely possible for a 6 year old to do this independently, it all depends on how much glitter you’re willing to have on your floor. We took turns stirring the mix so no one’s hand got too tired. Overall, very impressed. We can still do this a bunch of times with the amount of supplies we have. This would be a great idea for a birthday party activity as well since it easily makes 10 good sized slimes.

I'm not sure what I expected from this, but instead of canceling the STEM subscription for the month, I thought I'd get it and see if my son wanted to do it himself (he's 7). He was able to do it, and the set up is cool - looks like little science center - and he liked it. He made the slime. Then it has to sit....then he played with it for a few minutes...then it got SO STICKY that we had to dump it. Gross. Now I have all these little packets of slime powder that is just gross and worthless. NOT worth the money. we'll stick with our normal slime recipe or mix it up with something we find on google. Don't gift this to your friends' kids!!
