Transmission line and ac theory + the use of the word dielectricity
Really I just wanted to know where the word "dielectricity" came from, who actually ever used that word and what it meant. Best I can tell it refers to what we would now talk about as electrostatic storage, electric fields and parasitic capacitance. There are large sections about transients and electrical / magnetic energy storage, and resonance etc.If you have studied ac theory / control theory or electronic communications, you would already have seen a lot of this and be reasonably familiar with it such as characteristic impedance z0 transmission lines, and friends. This book is from 1918, and is probably the origin of some of the principles we all take for granted today. Its interesting to see that they were even able to take screenshot of oscilloscope traces back in the day. Whats kind of nice about this book is that it came from practical experimentation and results in communication lines and power systems .

Genius.
Real physics, not that cultish Math-based fizix. 10/10 recommend.
