This wall thimble is exactly what I needed without spending a ton of money. F.Y.I: the inside diameter of the center hole is the EXACT outer dimension of standard 8" Black stovepipe.

Worked as needed for my shop wall to setup my wood stove.

I bought this THROUGH THE WALL thimble for a Through the roof isolator in my home. I already have a metal and cement board ( 3/4 inch) surrounding the attic area the pipe goes through so this is the ceiling to attic connector. These sellers REFUSE to put the proper definitions on their ads, I really would like to know the dimensions without going to 30 sites to find the products PDF for getting the info on it it will fit 6" ( 8" outside pipe diameter ) of the Selkirk metalbestos 6 UT pipe. Are these sellers SO DAM'N STUPID they don't comprehend that the ads say NOTHING about the dimensions and uses of the pipe parts? It leads people to spend HOURS googling and Binging to find the data on the product..... Seeing all the other NON AMAZON offers out there!

I ordered the 6 inch thimble. The packaging and packing list both said 6 inch but the thimble was actually a 8 inch. When I emailed the vendor they said the manufacturer had packaged it wrong, they apologized and said they would make arrangments for the return freight with a full refund. I ended up with a full refund and they decided not to ship the product back. Even though I did not get the thimble I needed I am completely satisfied with the way the vendor handled it.

Nice looking and sturdy. This Wall thimble will fit the exterior dimension of the Selkirk Double wall INSULATED pipe. Make sure that you get help with the layout so that it meets code the first time you layout the pipe.The thimble shipped to us, actually had a round face plate on the black side of it.
