Watched a few YouTube videos and went to work. I removed the old gasket, cleaned the rim with acetone and a light sanding before the gasket arrived. At first, I wasn't sure it would be enough gasket to complete the job. After measuring the lid and the provided gasket decided they knew exactly ho much I would need. I was very please how easy it was to apply and even had enough to do the smoke stack. My only gripe is it's thick, enough to cause my lid and base not to align. (basically a slight under bite). Not sure if i can make an adjustment to the Primo or if it will smash flatter at time goes by. You can see how much was left after completion. Good luck!

This gasket is a good replacement for the original one that came with my Big Green Egg.

I had about 8 inches extra.

First, use Goo Gone and a plastic windshield scraper to remove the old felt and adhesive. That takes five minutes. Then wash surfaces with warm, dish soapy water. Finally, after letting the two surfaces dry, separate a foot of the new felt adhesive and begin pressing it down on the upper and lower lips of your Kamado grill an inch at a time. Press all adhesive surfaces down, and you are done. There is enough adhesive for both surfaces with room to spare. Much easier than I expected. Looks great when done. Most importantly, it works, smoke stays inside the dome.

My gasket on our Kamado Joe Classic was loose and not sticking anymore. After reading a few reviews, I purchased this gasket. I watched Kamado Joe’s video on replacing the gasket. The prep took longer than the installation. Remove the old gasket with a putty knife. Lightly sand the adhesive and clean the surface. Slowly stick the new gasket inch by inch and cut the end with a utility scissor. I only needed to replace the bottom of my Kamado. Once the top gasket comes off, I’ll use the rest of the gasket.

I used the seal on my Green Egg knockoff. The seal was thicker than the original and made a perfect seal

I put this gasket around my Rec Tec Stampede lid to lessen the smoke loss and I must say it sure did the trick. I think that a thicker gasket might have been too much and not allowed the lid to close properly. I haven't used it a lot yet but first impressions were good.
