Too much.
Should have read all the description. Didn’t realize I was buying a book to teach my toddler complex liberal concepts.

Never too early to teach equality
I’ve been reading this to my newborn and learning a few new terms myself! It’s never too early to start teaching equality.

Excellent beginning book for the equity talk
The first book every person should read to navigate our world and begin the equity/equality talk. I live Th is book because it begins normalizing differences. Imagine the next generation with the knowledge and skills to talk and accept the diversity of the world. What a world it will be! And that can start with sharing this book with all babies and children alike.

Refreshing, timely, bold, necessary
Chana Ewing set out to write a children's book but ended up creating a transformative tool and conversation starter for everyone. The illustrations by Paulina Morgan beautifully champion each of the concepts around identity and social justice that they're meant to describe. What a perfect tool for those of us who may not know "where to start" with little ones when it comes to our best intentions for exposure to concepts on social justice and intersectionality. But even for older kids and adults, this is a fantastic resource for cultivating safe spaces for exploration, inquiry, and understanding.

A bit of a shock
Let me just say I was not expecting this to be so politically correct. It's a bit much for young children, perhaps around school age could comprehend the concepts but definitely not infants. The times are a changing, that's for sure. 20 years ago this would not have been published.

A great book about all aspects of equality for young children
I am ecstatic for this book. It is beautifully illustrated and very well written. My little one is quite engaged with this book. It’s a great size, not too big or heavy. It is well versed and showcases all the different aspects of equality. A great introduction for those who want to educate young children about all types of equality. I HIGHLY recommend this book.

Educational and important
We love this book, it's an amazing books to introduce young as it helps understand the world that we live in while teaching letters and sounds. It helps teach children to be inclusive and ask questions when they have them. We read it often.
