It was used and dirty! I thought it was supposed to be new!
I love this slicer but I’ve had 2 break on me bc the blades are so fragile. This one was used and not even washed. It was disgusting when I opened it up. Please clean and advise you are selling refurbished slicers. Gross!

Keep assembled!
This arrived fine, and was easy to assemble and use. The problem came when we took the two blade frames out for a thorough cleaning. The blades literally started breaking on their own one by one while they were drying. My guess is that they're under tension and need to stay mounted in the cutter to prevent this. This was not mentioned in the instructions. If you purchase one, clean it without removing the blades.Returned without any issues.

This chopper did not work well because of all the broken blades and the puncture hole in the bottom of the tray.

We purchased this item to use at home because we buy or grow fruit and vegetables in bulk and hand cutting everything can be a task. We had been researching a better way to prepare food for canning, dehydrating and freeze drying faster than hand cutter everything. This device definitely covers that task, that being said there are a lot of things to consider.First, the instructions are awful. They don't cover how to build the device or anything like that only how to clean what part of the device after certain foods are used for prep.Second, the blades for the bottom part that act like knives had several bent blades on one tray. Because the tray is bent we cant use it without it causing damage to the top part that pushes the food through the blades gets caught and chips metal. I did reach out to the seller and never got a reply back.Thirdly, this item is extremely helpful while dealing with bulk produce. It can easily go through 60 lbs of button mushrooms in about 10 minutes, 40 lbs of potatoes in 5 minutes. It also doesn't take alot of strength. My 3 year old uses with with ease, under supervision of course. We have used it many times and the blades are still extremely sharp.Fourth, when cleaning the device or its blades DRY THEM OFF IMMEDIATELY. If you don't they rust!! I would never of thought this expensive of an item would be made so cheaply that it would rust but it does.For us the pros out weigh the cons so we are keeping it and hopefully when we need need blades they will both be in tact.
