Bought size XL for my 10 years old daughter who normally wears size 14. It's a bit big but she said she'll grow into it, so we're keeping it. It washes well and it comes with lining for the chest, which is great.

This is a very well-made elegant leotard for a reasonable price. I bought the XS for my 9 year old grand daughter who fit all the measurements on the chart, but this leotard was tight and barely fit. She won't be fitting in it next year at all and I should have heeded others that reviewed this item in the past and sized up. I'll know next time if I have to purchase this again. We decided not to return because she needed this right away.

Bought this for my daughter who has quickly outgrown the fun youth dance options…which are sadly geared almost exclusively to toddlers and very early elementary.Pros: Nice, thick material that smooths lumps and bumps. Overall shape is modest but very flattering. Attached skirt is perfect for kids. Cups are removable, and the chest area still has a thick band of fabric for some basic “coverage” when not using the cups. Fun surprise - there’s a little set of strings inside the chest band if you want to create ruching. Very clever!Cons: Like many others have said, the sizing is RIDICULOUS. The size large of this *women’s* outfit fit my daughter (who wears a 12-14 in youth). I’d call this more of a pre-teen/juniors outfit.

Bought for my 8 yo daughter who’s tall and about 85lbsOrdered the small and it was too tight crotch to shoulders. Ordered the medium and fits great. Actually surprised she needed a medium because she wears a 14/16 in kids for a reference.
