Astro Pneumatic Tool78344 10-Piece 3/8" Drive Nano Pinless Universal Impact Sockets - Metric, Black

I own a very successful automotive shop in Texas, I am also an ASE Master with my L1 and L3 and have been working on cars for 17 years. As anyone, I am trying to find a way to avoid spending snap on money on sockets I dont use that often so I gave these a try.I have other astro products, never an issue with them. Sadly I think they jumped the gun on these sockets and released them before they where ready and tested enough. They are stiff, but will loosen up with use so thats not an issue.Anyways, Ill Keep them and just replace the 19 and 17 with snap on ones I guess? C'mon astro, you're better than this!

I have other Astro tools and really like them, high quality. Initial impressions were good, nice socket rail, big markings, etc. The issue I have is the wobble joint is so stiff and feels like they are bound up. Every size took lots of effort to move. I wasn’t ready to put it on my m18 mid torque impact and see how it went. Maybe they need to be broke in? Maybe I am missing something? These don’t feel or act like any of the snap on I have used.

Extreme value for the money. Was looking for a pinless designed universe impact socket set. Was thinking of getting the Gear Wrench ones but stumbled upon these. Put them into use the same day they arrived. There joints are slightly stiff but no different than my older Matco pinless socket.One inconsistency was the thickness of the 13mm socket. It's just as thick if not thicker than the 14mm socket.The 17mm socket problem has been rectified.I'm impressed with this set and they are well worth the money. I've been a automotive technician for 23 years and have come to the realization that the big truck brands, while great, are not the only option for professional grade tools.

They’re great until they break. Good luck getting a hold of them for the lifetime warranty. i’ve emailed and I’ve called and nothing.

I originally ordered a set that had two 16mm sockets one of which was stamped as a 17mm. I oreded a replacement and yet again two 16mm sockets. The set isnt bad if you dont need a 17mm, but who doesnt need a 17mm

I have seen and asked Eric O. from SMA on YouTube and he uses these daily. I’m a DIYER, so if their good enough for the “crusties” in New York State, their good enough for a weekend warrior!

Socket walls are much too thick. Is signifies poor engineering, the set should only cost 30 bucks because of the poor design. Set is effectively useless since the purpose of swivel sockets are to get into congested areas with obstructions and tight spaces. But with wall sickness three to four times greater than competitors, it is much to bulky especially on common sizes. The thickest walls are on the 10 and 13 mm which are super common. But the 11, 14, 16, and 18 mm are also quite thick. The 12, 15, 17, and 19 mm are closer to The thickness of your average budget socket, but still on the thicker end. Definitely will be returning, this product is a total failure, I do not even know why they sell this. The product aside from the socket wall thickness looks perfect it's exactly everything I'm looking for, but useless due to the wall thickness. They should be scrapped and re-engineered with appropriate wall thickness and I would gladly pay double the price if they manage to bring the wall thickness down to comparable with tektons impact sockets. I had really high hope for these because I have Astros stubby threes drive sockets and they are spectacular, home run with the bases loaded. I also have their onyx impact which is a beast, but these swivels are garbage. Drop the price to 30 bucks or re-engineer them.

I must have for the DIY mechanic let alone a professional. I can't believe I have been fighting with fasteners all these years without owning a swivel set. These are sturdy and have stood up to light usage so far. They are an incredible value. If these hold up, I will be purchasing more tools from this manufacturer as all of my 30-year-old Craftsman tools are worn out

Very nice socket set. Very easy to get into brake calipers. Makes my job a lot easier and hopefully yours still early to give it a five star.

My only complaint is the 10mm, the 10mm to 13mm is the same size so the 10mm is really thick and doesn't fit in all the places.

The 17mm socket is actually a 16mm but labeled 17mm. Otherwise good set need to replace the defective tool soon

Brilliant tools. Makes a mechanics work so much more efficient.
