Exceptionally thermoregulating & no hair static
I got this silk beanie for cold Canadian winters. To illustrate how snobby I am about things meant to keep me warm, the cold is physically painful to me. I have a massive sleeping bag sized winter parka with 700 down fill from a top Canadian athleisure wear company. It’s not warm enough for me and it’s their “warmest” winter coat. This beanie is warm when I need it and not overheating when I don’t. I’m thoroughly impressed at how warm it is keeping my head, ears and forehead. It’s warmer than the wool beanie of have from the same athleisure wear company of said parka. Yet at the same time, my head isn’t overheating indoors when I don’t take it off. I’ve worn it in BC and in Calgary at night when it’s -25 Celsius. I’m pretty impressed. It keeps my head the same temperature in both provinces (I just took a flight from one province to the other). It’s silk, so it isn’t scratchy. It’s a very fine, tight knit fabric. When I take it off, my hair isn’t all staticky and frizzy. My hair isn’t flying away/all over the place due to static. It’s not bulky so I can keep it in my parka pocket, or my fanny pack sized crossbody bag. This makes it easy to keep handy and use it all the time.I’m going to get another one for my hubby and next year, all of the aduly offspring are getting one for Christmas. Hopefully by then they’ll have some fun colours available and not just black.I can’t speak to stitching, washability etc because I haven’t had it for very long.

Love this beanie
I think this is a wonderful beanie unless you have a smaller head. I have a big head and it fits really well but it still also stretches out and gets a little bit loose sometimes. I have hair that goes to a little below my shoulders but very thick. It stays in the beanie throughout the night and the beanie does stay on my head. But it will tend to move some and slide down over my eyes and come up in the back a teeny bit. But for me it works excellent. And it’s very very comfortable. I can’t have any kind of binding around my head or it causes me a bad headache quickly. This one doesn’t have any of that pressure and it does stay on. But I think if you had a ton of hair or if you had a smaller head this one probably wouldn’t be the best for you

I use it with CPAP its is fantastic for this.
I bought this because my hair was breaking off from the CPAP tubing on top of my head. Lovely I know. but CPAP is life saving for me so I go with it. And no I am not fat. So I looked for a cap to wear, all the others were satin and I though they would slip and be hot. This is really perfect. It is kinda big so I can’t see wearing it out but I do have a small head. But once I have my CPAP on it stays in place perfectly. In fact I think it helps my CPAP stay on better as well. Now that I am used to it I am sleeping great. It is very thin but I like that and soft. I gave it a four because when I washed it by hand all these fibers came out into the water. I am hoping this is just a first time event. Also it does not stain your pillow with dye like I saw on other caps. If you are considering this for CPAP buy it, its more expensive than some caps but worth it. Oh and BTW although this is not why I purchased it, it is amazing how good your hair looks the next day. You can pull off the cap and your hair looks perfect. It’s incredible.

Cute, soft and useful
Not to hot not to cold. Haven't used it in the summer so I can't say anything about that. I use it to sleep in on cold nights, hang around the house in it and wear it around town. Nicely made. Wish they had more colors. I have the red one, which isn't a very bright red, prob due to the natural silk fabric and dye process needed to be gentle. I have the black as well. I have a lot of hair and also lie a loose fit, so I bought the men's size. I live in Seattle and like to put all my hair up in it when I go around town on rainy days so my hair doesn't get to frizzy in the cold weather.Nice quality for the price. Very luxurious everyday item for me.

Chemo head? This is your cap
Perfect, Comfortable- THE ONE!I HATE hats but am currently going thru chemo. I have wigs for work and public but have bought any number of “head coverings” to wear at home. I never wear them- they don’t fit and aren’t comfortable! I put this on when it arrived and haven’t taken it off! I came back and ordered another color! I have to put a big cuff in it for it to fit like a “beanie”- so I think its a bit large (I ordered the “woman’s” size). It fits snugly but not tight - I believe it’s 100% silk with no spandex so it doesn’t constrict. It’s still on my head as I type this- nuff said! If you need a cap to cover chemo stubble and be comfy- this one is worth the few extra dollars

Not impressed
Well it stretched out of shape quickly. I’m sure it’s 100% silk but poor quality . My hair was damaged from CPAP straps. Had to have 5” cut off. It’s still down to my upper back. The research article I read on hair damage from CPAP straps, chemo, hair thinning recommended use 22-momme100% Pure Mullberry silk.. There is no comparison when I felt and seen side-by-side this cap vs the 22-mom me pure 100% Mullberry silk cap. I paid $57 for the 100% silk cap from the site recommended in CPAP article and it is worth every penny. I’m amazed what a difference it has made to my hair. It is so shinny and healthy now, I would not have believed it if anyone told me good silk would make a difference. It’s become so soft and no longer dry and brittle. It no longer gets all knotted through the night, I have to wash it more due to the natural oils remaining on my scalp and not on the cotton/flannel pillow case.
