Brilliant - DON'T choose the i5 version, BUY the i7 version.
Brilliant laptop overall, extremely easy to set up & I really loved it. Games played very smooth. I got myself the i5 9300h which I thought I made a big saving on over the i7 9750h version but I might've thought wrong. Though the i5 performs perfectly, being unable to really upgrade laptops in the future makes the i5 less future proof. Plus, if you're gaming, you'd also want a high end CPU. The CPU in this laptop doesn't have a habit of increasing it's boost clock for games, well according to my experimenting, as it should have. To ensure that the CPU boost was active, I did some checks & came to see that It was indeed active & was working for specific applications but better CPU performance would have been preferred especially for the price point. So my advice is to stay away from the i5 variant & go for the i7 variant. In terms of the GPU, I had no problems with it in terms of its physical use. I had a bit of trouble getting onto the nvidia application but all you had to do was to uninstall & reinstall the drivers for it to work. The boost function is irrelevant for the i5 variant as the CPU bottlenecks the GPU regardless of the turbo mode active > another reason as to why you should spend the extra money for the i7 variant.Battery isn't the greatest, at all.. not surprised as it's a gaming laptop. Screen colours & RGB accuracy was also perfect.Keyboard is wonderful to use & yes its fully RGB, as is the i7 variant. Don't think this applies to variants in other countries unless you go for the RTX version. But yes bottlenecking is an issue with the i5 variant (if you're thinking about buying the i5 with the rtx 2060, I suggest you do your research)I did return mines within 3 weeks due to the hard drive being faulty but this was probably just with my own laptop. I'd overall reccomend the Predator Helios 300 variant over any other gaming laptop for the price between £800-£1500, buying a gaming laptop other than this is a waste in my opinion. But I'd give it 5 stars for it's base purpose. If you wanna have a chat regarding this laptop, drop me a text on Instagram - 'iSubby' & I'll be glad to help you regarding picking a gaming laptop that'll suit your needs

Awesome future proof laptop!
This was bought to replace a faulty Asus laptop (awful customer service BTW!) - it plays every game I've thrown at it well, there's no thermal throttle at all due to its fans and fan control. The screen is great, 144hz and crystal clear. The speakers are a bit meh, but then again this is a gaming laptop. One thing I dislike is the mouse pad, it requires quite a lot of force to push down in my opinion, a lot more than I normally use but not ridiculous either.Battery life isn't special, runs as long as most other gaming laptops, the charger itself is way lighter than I expected so that's a plus for travel. And you will need the charger if you're using this while travelling.Rgb lighting is a plus and looks very pleasing. This is quite a future proof laptop I think, with its 2060 gpu and the 144hz screen. If you're using this for gaming, honestly you won't be disappointed - I know I'm not. It's miles better than my old ASUS laptop for sure, but then again this cost about 500 pounds more. The only reason I can't give this 5 stars is because I haven't yet needed to use their customer service. If customer service proves to be excellent, this is a solid 5 star gaming laptop, but until I do use Acers customer I'm leaving it at a 4. Will update this review if I have any issues.

Amazing value for money!
I have the i5 9300h, 1660ti and 8GB ram version. The laptop is a great gaming device and although it has it's downsides are so small i give it 5 stars.Pros:-144hz screen with 96% srgb! (not usual in a laptop of this price)-nice rgb keyborad with big and confortable trackpad-aluminium lid and keyboard frame- relatively low temperatures for high end gaming so no throttling-easy to use overclocking software for gaming-lots of I/O ports-nice designCons:-You're gonna need 8 more GB or ram at some point does great for now-Battery doesn't last long (expected with gaming laptops)-Speakers are not great-A lot of noise (but it's the price for keeping temperatures low when overclocking the gpu for gaming)In conclusion the laptop is great and if we take out the few imperfections that doesn't affect gaming (actually helping with performance) it's a value for money device and with a nice gaming design. Currently i am playing Red Dead Redemption at Ultra texture most of the options high too and in turbo mode i manage to play with 60-75 fps 1080p. If your worry is if it can play your favorite game, it can. Enjoy!

Great laptop.
I bought it at 1000£. Checked all competitors, this was the best laptop on earth for that price at the time I bought it. The video card is fantastic, the intel i5-9300h is great, one guy from another review said it bottlenecks and the turbo mode is useless. Not sure what this guy is smoking but it must be strong. I'm playing dota 2 max graphics capped at 60 fps, and I get only 60-65 degrees, what more can a person want from a laptop? Yes, it's noisier than your average laptop but this is not a problem for me because I like background fan noise anyway and if you use headphones, you don't hear it. Also battery life is not so much but easy way to compensate this is to just go to Power Options and cap your processor to 20-30% when using battery and problem is solved. All else besides that is absolutely perfect. If you don't like this laptop, then you need to seriously reconsider buying a PC instead because this is what a proper gaming laptop is like, and from that perspective, it has no drawbacks.

Good laptop but with minor annoying issues
This laptop is great for my gaming except for the low SSD. I've had no issues with my gameplay. The only problems I majorly have with this is the battery life and charging problems. It doesn't charge properly (as in it keeps going off as its charging or it just wont charge at all). Also I don't know about other but mine didn't come with a charger in the package so I've had to buy my own.
