Boys haven't had a chance to use it yet, but this thing is very roomy. Should hold all they need for camping group. Appears to be very well made.

Missing some key features
The construction is solid, but we wound up returning it. There is no detachable daypack and no separate sleeping bag compartment. It's basically a giant sack with arm and waist straps. For a few bucks more, we bought the Gregory Deva 70 which includes both of those features and a more durable frame. The fit on our 11 year old daughter was almost identical to this pack.

Very pleased
Haven't used yet, but pack looks well made and great features. Expect it will be a great pack for my 12 year old son.
