Boye Knitting Needle Kit for Beginners, 16pc

Just what I needed to hold my needles plus have those included to add to my collection. Excellent quality.

I’m thinking they are not really made byBoye Because they are completely straight needles – I’m much prefer the economically designed ones with the little bit of an angle towards the cord end Somewhat disappointed, because their name was on the product.

I am new to knitting and suffer from pain due to fibromyalgia. After doing some research in forums, I realised the recent pains I was having on my right side were probably caused by using straight needles. It was suggested that using circular needles would remedy the issue. That, plus wanting to learn how to knit in the round, brought me to circular needles and specifically interchangeable needles. As a beginner, this Boye set has been perfect for me to transition to and my knitting experience has improved. I'm alot faster and more comfortable. Starting out, the cable kept disconnecting on one side, but I found once I used the key to tighten it once, I haven't had that issue again. I think the Needlemaster Junior is the perfect size and price point for new knitters and I imagine I will eventually get the full set. My only gripe is that finding replacement cables has been difficult. I would love to have a set of backup cables so that I can freely use my needles on multiple WIPs. If anyone can assist, I'd greatly appreciate it.
