He-Man of the North!
He-Man of the North? By Crom, looks more like the He-Man of Cimmeria to me! Remember way back in the day, in the world of comics when we had the He-Man/Superman crossover (not to mention the figure two-pack)? Well now's our chance to do the same with Conan! C'mon, who honestly doesn't want Conan - I mean Vikor - hacking of Skeletor's head and sending it sailing down Snake Mountain? Maybe it's just me, but every once in a while, despite my immense passion and love for all things He-Man (yes, even the New Adventures...) a figure comes out that I just can't get into (Keldor, Count Marzo and Chief Carnivus to name a few). To me, Vikor here doesn't feel like a MOTU figure to me, he feels like an updated version of the Conan figure from the Wrarrl two-pack released by Marvel a few years back. However, just because I'm not a big fan of this character in the Masters Universe, that in no way means I don't think he's cool and don't love his action figure. Vikor represents a vein of bad@ssery that the heroes in the Classics line sorely needed. He looks like the type who would rather split your evil skull with that mighty battleaxe of his instead of just tossing you away like He-Man would. All in all, Vikor is very popular, and He-Fans have welcomed this savage barbarian with open arms. Vikor comes with some of the coolest accessories in the line so far including his awesome Warrior Shield, Battleaxe, Sword of Gaz and his removable Animal Skin cape (the little skull and bones clasp may just be my favorite part of this figure). Coolest of all are the real metal chains connected to his gauntlets, for any fool knows that no mere steel can withhold the might of Vikor! The only drawback to this figure in my opinion is that I don't think his horned barbarian helmet is removable, which kind of sucks. All in all, Vikor's an awesome figure, he's the first figure of 2011 and the first one to have a real metal accessory since Scare Glow, plus his Powers of Grayskull sticker on his bubble is pretty cool. He-Fans, honor Eternia and Cimmeria alike and add this awesome barbarian to your Classics collection now!

detailed with excellent paintwork. I also have to admit
I ordered him as I am trying to get a full MOTUC collection. I wasn't sure what to expect with him as I had never heard of him before. I have to admit when I got him I was impressed with the sculpt. Very well done, detailed with excellent paintwork. I also have to admit, it looks a lot like Conan! But that accusation plagued the original MOTU line in the early 1980's. That is in fact why He-Man is blonde. Originally he had dark hair but they were warned it was too close to Conan and risked legal action. So ... the He-Man became a blonde.
