Clean, Safe, and Fresh.
This laundry detergent is hands down the best I've found so far with a "green" mindset. Everything is biodegradable and the ingredients are natural, and it ACTUALLY CLEANS YOUR CLOTHES. Not only is it good for your clothes, but it works great for babies and cloth diapers. My wife and I use it for all of our laundry in the house.I made the mistake of trying one of those DIY laundry detergents, which ended up damaging the elastic in my son's cloth diapers and it also damaged the inserts. We also found out Borax isn't safe, which is one of the popular ingredients in the DIY detergents. Country Save is safe, has no brighteners, no enzymes, bleach, etc.If you're looking for something natural, safe, and a detergent that actually works, this stuff is the way to go. Even poopy diapers come out smelling fresh. There isn't a fragrance, it just leaves your clothes smelling fresh and clean. Just how we like it.I use a front loader HE Samsung washing machine and have had no issues. A half scoop is for a regular size load in an HE machine. I have also used this stuff in a top loader non HE machine and it works just as well. Based on your water hardness and machine you may need to adjust how much you use, but in my house we have slightly hard water and this detergent has done well.I would highly recommend it!

Worth the investment!
I have to say... I had little expectations of this product. After a great deal of research after deciding to cloth diaper my daughter, I decided this was my best bet. I purchased this pack of (4) 10lb boxes to exclusively to wash my daughter's clothing, bedding, diapers and covers and wipes(every other day), and household towels.... She potty trained at 18 months and I still had OVER A BOX AND A HALF LEFT. Refusing to let it go to waste, I used it on all our laundry and was ecstatic to see the results. Dirt and grime was gone. Food was gone. Smells were all clean. I love this product. For all the cloth diapering mommas out there, I used cotton flats, hemp flats, and thirsties covers (in a slew of bright colors), as well as cut up socks for reusable wipes. I washed them all together on hot and added in baking soda once in a while when I was a day or two late to wash. After the original stripping process, I NEVER STRIPPED my diapers again. Never had to. The only stains I ever had was from the original newborn muck, and they sun-bleached beautifully. My diapers and covers were in such great shape I was able to pass them on to friends of the family. As for towels and clothing for the household, it does just as good a job as the Purex I was raised on. My only complaint would be the $15 hike in price since I last ordered it... still worth it, though!P.S. I use an LG front loader. I never pre-dissolve the detergent - add it right into the soap compartment.Odor Enlightenment: After a year's use, my washer started smelling funky. I was worried it was from cloth diapering and this detergent, but LG explained it is a common problem with front loaders over time (by then, my machine was 7 years old). I was instructed to do a hot sanitary wash with a cup of vinegar to clean the system. That helped, but did not solve the problem, so I went with what I knew, and did another sanitary wash filling the soap dispenser with baking soda, and the fabric softener dispenser with a cup or so of vinegar. Squeaky clean smells ever since.

Love this detergent!!!!
I almost never review products, but after using it for a few months I had to come back and write one for this detergent. I have used MANY different detergents & only tried this one because someone gave it to me & my baby had a reaction to the free & clear detergent I had been using. I AM SO GLAD (no offense baby)!!! It worked so well that I quickly began using it for all of our clothes. Country Save not only cleans efficiently, but it also GETS OUT TOUGH SMELLS that none of my other detergents could do on their own. No more Borax or laundry boosters! And I have been surprised to notice that when I have accidentally left a cleaned load in the washer longer than I should have, it doesn't sour as quickly as it did with my other detergents. I'm not sure why this is the case, but for a busy mom expecting to have to rewash a load of laundry, this is a very welcome relief!!!I have a top load washer, but I have found that half a scoop still does the trick (To be fair, I use it in combo with a Green Wash Laundry Ball, which I also love. So, one large 4 box order on Amazon for less than $70 with my Amazon Mom Membership gets me through a whole year of doing laundry once or twice a day. For those without little bottoms to diaper, assuming you do a load every other day or so, it could last 3.5 years. Using cloth diapers, I have not had a problem with my baby's skin or with the diapers not being clean (I do still use hot water for poopy diaper stains after a cold rinse). I use a little Shout on really tough stains, but that's no different than any of the other detergents I've used. I like that this doesn't build up in our clothes & leave them looking dingy. It also doesn't fade our colored clothes as badly as Tide & some other brands have.
